Moeen is the epitome of mediocrity. He might surprise a team and run through them once, but he doesn’t have the quality to consistently trouble teams.

I don’t think he will have a honeymoon series against India again.

I agree he's mediocre and the stats show that after his 50 tests but when on form he's an asset. He's been very good this season in FC and rightly deserved a recall.

His 40 runs and 4 wickets thus far have been invaluable and could end up being match changing. Has been England's best player this match. If England's batting doesn't break down (which I think it will) and go on to win this test he is a prime contender so far for MOTM.
