i still believe Hafeez should play instead of Asif Ali. He had experience and the last match showed that experienve is needed in order to finish the game. Hafeez would’ve finished the game and we’d have won it.

Thats why I am not a fan of this team management. Hafeez can clearly hit the bowl well and is more potent at no 6 than Sarfaraz will ever be and Sarfaraz can do the same role which Hafeez does in the middle overs decently. So its basic common sense to give positions to the batsmen where overall team combination becomes stronger.

While for Malik he can only play if he is better than Haris at no 4 which he is clearly not with declining reflexes.

I think Mickey knows this. Issue is management needs to deal with a lot of politics.

Hafeez still thinks he is an opener FGS.

Sarfaraz needs to be tougher too- sacrificed his own batting to accommodate Hafeez and Malik.

Agreed. Imad seems more stable a bat in terms of longevity and would seem a better option to support Imad, whereas Asif is a run rate increaser later in the innings.
