Shaheen needs to hit a hard length and bowl as fast as he can. None of this slower ball, defensive length crap that I have a sneaking suspicion either Azhar or Sarfraz is whispering in his ear. The only way to succeed on these pitches is to fight fire with fire. He has the fundamentals as a bowler to attack batsmen and should use them to his advantage.

People here see a kid perform in 1-2 matches and start demanding they be fast-tracked into the national team. Fans are equally to blame as selectors - this is not the 80s and 90s where you can just chuck kids into international cricket from nowhere.

These kids should first learn their craft and pay their dues in domestic cricket. Shadab Khan barely played any 4 Day cricket yet he was given Test debut on back of a few limited overs performances. Recently we've seen him struggle against top teams. We're seeing Hasnain struggle but it's unsurprising having played hardly any List A cricket.
