Off Topic(Breaking news from Cricinfo Twitter): World Cup 2019 will be a 10-team event, with last 2 spots decided by qualification. World T20 2012 and 2014 to have 12 teams.
 
This time last week, Andrew Strauss was England's man at the helm. On Saturday, for a perfunctory 37.2 overs, Stuart Broad took over as national captain, and at 12.30pm tomorrow afternoon, Alastair Cook will line up at the toss as England's third skipper in eight days. The policy of separate leaders for all three formats always looked like a bit of a gamble, but right at this moment, following the most anticlimactic coronation imaginable for Broad at Bristol, there's an additional layer of scrutiny pending.

Good to see Bresnan back for england. He looked very poor when Sri lanka last toured for ODIs and didnt look like he would make it at highest level. Now hes seen as one of englands main ODI bowlers.

Not sure why Anderson keeps getting picked for ODIs hes **** in this format off the game.
 
England will have to play well to avoid another 5-0 brown wash like last time!
 
Probably be a reduction in overs and a ten min break between inns to get a game in here!

Latest update: 4.00pm Still nothing to see here. But over in Barbados India are grafting at 13 for 2 in 14 overs.

Is Jayasuriya gonna play the next ODI if this one is rained out???
 
4.40pm Play will restart at 5.00pm, 32 overs per side. Bosh! The Powerplays are seven overs, and three each of the Batting and Bowling. Seems a long ago that Craig Kieswetter and Jonathan Trott were batting.
 
what does it mean by "sri lankas target will be D/L adjusted" ... it says that on the screen right now....

does that mean that the target will be adjusted even if there is no more rain.... ? to compensate for the fact that england played 7 overs without knowing that it was going to be a 32 over game?
 
As usual Bell bottles it when he doesn't have another quality bat to hold his hand.
