OK so many of you have probably seen the legend that is Pavel Florin being initially mocked - and then praised - by Twitter for his terrible bowling action.
But this is a guy who hadn't heard of cricket 8 years ago, is the first born and bred Romanian playing cricket and is now repping his country in an international club tournament. He's also become the president of his cricket club and is now giving back to a game he didn't know existed until he was a thirty-something old father.
It's guy like this that keep grassroots cricket alive.

Anyway, why am I making this thread? It's because this diddy little euro club tourney is actually being broadcast live on youtube with pretty good production values so sod it. We all pretend to be cricket lovers so let's give it a watch.

7. When have you been the hero for your team and what did you do?
I would not call it a hero act, but it is the match that gave me confidence that I can be a good cricket player, I drove 500km during night time for 9 straight hours just to reach for the match in the morning. I stayed 14 overs on the ground and scored 34 runs not out.
