Ex-ISI chief Faiz Hameed handed 14-year imprisonment over political activities, violating Secrets Act: ISPR [Update at Post #147]

They haven’t they are making an example never support a Politician above the Establishment.
Faiz was close to IK folks can deny that but it’s not going away esp with this verdict.

Allow me to introduce this concept in the english language, many of your posts need this.

Hameed's lawyer, Mian Ali Ashfaq, said his client was "1,000% innocent, but this is the court's decision".

"We were unaware of the judgement and only found out through the ISPR's press release. We are now applying to the relevant forum for a copy of the decision," he told the BBC.

"As soon as we receive it, we will review it and immediately file a petition to appeal. Right now, the first forum for appeal is the army chief, so that is what we will do. We are hopeful that at the next forum we will present our case and obtain justice."

Is this for real?

All fake. Faiz is a crook but took orders from Bajaw, so why hasnt Bajwa not been tried. Khwaja Asif and others have admitted that they conspired with Bajwa to overthrow IK. Apparently the plan is to threaten Faiz with 14 years( in reality and not just on paper) if he doesnt turn witness against IK.

PML-N takeover of the Pakistani Army is complete. Nawaz Sharif's ultimate desire and goal of Saada chief is complete.
PML-N is nothing more than a dummy regime, put in place to maintain the veneer of democracy. Everyone knows who is actually pulling the strings and running the show

They dont even pretend that they are in charge. Look at Khwaja Asif tweet on the corrupt Bureaucrats running off to Portugal

This whole sordid episode shows that The Faiz prosecution is just an eye wash to get him to become state witness against IK.

So apparently Bajwa is in the clear and was fast asleep when Faiz did all these things. This regime is not only stupid, it assumes that everyone else is just as stupid as they are. The Nooras are bitching about Bajwa and Faiz used Faisal Vawda dogs blood to send NS to London.

Apparently the Generals( Munir) has just remembered that Faiz was behind the fake 9th May attack. An attack that was so vicious that not a single Security official died and so well planned that all the Security cameras were stolen as they were stand alone machines at GHQ.
@emranabbas You seem to bring this up on a regular basis. What happened to the cameras? 🤣🤣🤣

How come a once powerful leader and top generals suddenly face life imprisonment and treason cases?
These kinds of miracles seem to happen only in Pakistan. Popular politician like IK sitting in jail and facing life-threatening criminal cases over silly allegations is truly mind-blowing. Is there any resistance from the common people?

Normally, such actions would be considered major violations in any other country, but in Pakistan they seem to be treated as normal, and people also appear to have become accustomed to this kind of punishment.

Cut the crap. He was part of the Sharif clan. He even used my Dogs blood to send your pathetic bhagora to London to meet his Zionist daddies and Epstein controlled leaders. The cases are weaker than your intellect morals. He will be used as some sort of witness in this fixed match. I have news for you, the Public are not buying it.

Any proof like you claimed pakistan had sided with israel to bomb iran and had agreed to join israels bombing campaign turned out a pack of lies that did

Faiz Hameed files appeal against military court sentence

Former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lt Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed has formally challenged the 14-year sentence awarded to him by a military court, setting the stage for a closely watched appeal process amid unresolved questions over the right of appeal for civilians and retired officers convicted by military tribunals.

Advocate Mian Ali Ashfaq told The Express Tribune that the appeal was filed with the army chief two days ago. He added that a separate application has been submitted to the registrar of the Court of Appeal at GHQ seeking a copy of the written verdict in order to file additional grounds in the appeal.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that the former ISI chief has not been shifted to Adiala Jail and is currently being detained at the Special Prison Rawalpindi, which is headed by a deputy superintendent.

Lawyers who conduct trials in military courts say that, as a general practice, written judgments are provided to convicted persons only after intervention by a high court.

There is no direct right of appeal against military court verdicts in superior courts. However, convicts may challenge such decisions through writ jurisdiction in the high courts, where the scope of judicial review remains limited.

In its majority ruling, the Supreme Court upheld the trial of civilians in military courts. However, in its judgment dated May 7, the court directed the federal government to take steps for appropriate legislation to grant a right of appeal to civilians convicted by military courts.

Despite the passage of several months, the government has yet to take any steps to comply with that directive.

A senior lawyer said the proposed legislation would need to clarify whether the right of appeal would also extend to retired military officers such as Faiz Hameed.
