Well people in PCT should look up to Babar but not in knock out matches where he fails poorly.

Smart bowler is Wood.

Seems to be improving with age.

He's been a vital player for PZ - consistent, reliable and a great asset.

Some of the overseas picks have bigger reputations but this guy has quietly and consistently gone about his business with a lot of skill.

Yes, Babar is a role model. He has shifted the charm of Pakistan cricket from bowling to batting, but my concern lies with his strike rate and inability to finish games.

Mumbai Indians have named England left-armer Luke Wood as the replacement for the injured Jason Behrendorff for IPL 2024.

One thing is certain: Babar cannot finish well, as he struggles to make the right decisions under pressure. He should acknowledge these weaknesses and focus on improving them. Everyone has weaknesses; even Virat, a champion player of this century, has failed as a captain to win any ICC trophy despite having a great team. Babar should concentrate solely on his batting and strike rate, setting aside concerns about captaincy. He should aim to be remembered as a great player upon retirement, rather than as an underachiever with wasted talent.

PSL has opened the way for yet another player to reach the IPL. Luke wood will enjoy his IPL campaign as he is a good bowler and can definitely make a mark there.

Another PSL product is heading to the IPL 😀

He played international cricket, The Hundred and BPL before he played PSL so it is not like PSL discovered him and opened the doors for him.

Besides, even if PSL opens the door for a player to play IPL, there is nothing to be proud of. Pakistani fans shouldn’t take pride in PSL being a feeder league to the IPL.

If Luke Wood is playing IPL because of PSL and he ends up becoming a successful IPL player in the future, he might start avoiding PSL to stay fit and fresh for the IPL.

Not a situation to be happy and proud of.

That's the concern and at the moment some players are prioritising other leagues over the PSL, largely due to the fact that PSL is one of the lowest paying T20 leagues.

Luke Wood played a crucial role for PZ - am sure they will have him back with open arms in future editions.
