never given a fair run in ODIs. Always dropped in between after giving one or two games.

He actually showed a lot of improvement in his 60 odd knock against Zim but was again dropped after one failure.
 
Out in the 49th over playing for the team rather improving his averaged. Well done. That's the spirit we want from youngsters.
 
Amin smashed a spectacular switch-hit six then got out playing the same shot. I thought Raza overstepped and the third umpire bottled it.

not buying it he got 4 odi's on the trott vs SA and he fluffed it I am certain he will get another opportunity since he looks good while batting which is something that keep the selectors interested all the time but on next chance he had to grab it by both hands.

yep that was a great six.

but the ball he got out I think it was close call but just inside the line.
 
yawn Raza picking wickets again when the slog is on. I have rarely seen him trouble batsman when they are playing defensively.

But I don't see him in the world cup squad. Post world cup yes there is going to be many spots to be grabbed by youngsters since no more Misbah,YK and Asad will be in the colors.

I'm sure if Amin made runs by batting ugly like Alam he wouldnt be rooting for him.
 
Umer Amin is better player then fawad shafiq but was not given fair chance at one position.
shuffled him a lot..

He was unfairly dropped as well. I've said that before. Despite his limitations and failure against Aus he should have been in the squad till the world cup. But when YK and Asad Shafiq are playing in the team ahead of Maqsood and Umar Akmal what can one do. It's management,captain,selectors failures that they haven't shown consistency with their team selections.

Umar Amin though hasn't got much of chance as much as Fawad and Asad have. We want to see more of him. He could be an improved version of Harris Sohail with the bat.
 
He deserves an extended run in odis because he never had that-probably after wc now- if he fails in this- he should only then be recalled after showing his hunger and getting BIG runs in domestic.

This is not a beauty contest- we want runs- he can bat looking like Chanderpaul for all I care

I didnt said anything about his unfair treatment in the lineup all i wanna know if he had an ugly stance or played agricultural slogs would you still be rooting for him? Be honest.

if he could still spank bowlers like Wahab and Talha straight down the ground and flicks them for :four. Yes I'd.

I don't think Harris is as good looking or classy but still I've been his supporter from day 1.

Fawad Alam is a good player but he isn't as impactful player as Amin or Haris. He is in the leagues of Misbah and Azhar or even YK.

but he has done pretty well in the last fc event followed by 2 good performances in the on going One day cup.

He's surely improving. If anyone seen his knock today I'm sure they will agree he has improved a lot.

Umer Amin will score 100 and book his place in team for next 50 matches. This is what he is doing in domestic.

The problem is if this was an international side, he would be back in the pavilion right now. He is simply a notoriously slow starter and needs to sort that out ASAP if he wants to be an extended feature in our side.
 
Tanvir finally gets Nasir. Atrocious innings, almost as if he was trying to get out.
 
as I said Jamshed is totally out of form. Shouldn't be anywhere near national team right now.

Shahid Yousuf is one of those batsman who could make 150-175 in a 50 over match yet still look more unconvincing than a tailender.
 
Ali Waqas has look very very good tonight. Been very assured at the crease and has timed the ball even better than Amin did earlier. Not looked uncomfortable against any bowler and some of his shots of Gul were effortless. Needs to carry his team through and make a big score.
