1. Mohammad Rizwan : 9/10 The best wicketkeeper batsman opener triple combo available for any team. A player would would walk into any team in current form. Set the foundation for all games except Afghanistan and got runs when needed. 1 Mark deducted for still not reaching his potential where he gets high scores but pakistan could get even higher if he plays like that from ball 1.

2. Babar Azam: 9/10 Highest run scorer for Pakistan. Pakistan's vital anchor and trusted his team mates through thick and thin. 1 mark deducted for tactical blunders in the semifinal

3. Fakhar Zaman: 6/10 All 6 points are due to Semifinal performance. clutch performance and clutch player for Pakistan in knockouts. Still a liability I believe and is a much better ODI player than a T20 player.

4. Mohammad Hafeez: 6/10 played small vital innings and bowled well when given the ball but never was made full use and never had an impact like in previous world cups. Time to retire and give way for Haider Ali or Muhammad Nawaz

5. Shoaib Malik: 6/10 same as Hafeez played small vital innings but never when it counted. time for him to retire gracefully as well and give way for Haider Ali or Muhammad Nawaz

6. Asif Ali: 6/10 We remembered his name for one match but got out and forgot his name after he contributed nothing to bat in semifinal. Did not get opportunity to bat apart from Afghanistan and NZ and played blinders which fetched him 6 points.

7. Imad Wasim: 5/10 A nothing tournament. did not bat well when given chance and only held the batsmen without threatening. Broke the shackles for australia in semifinals. Muhammad Nawaz would have been a much better option. Should not be chosen for Australian WC.

8. Shadab Khan: 8/10 Took wickets when it counted and was a great return to form. People said Pakistan spin needs to deliver and he did albeit alone in the end. If not for him Australia might have won it by 8 wickets in semifinal.

9. Hasan Ali: 0/10.

10. Haris Rauf: 5/10. Peaked early and bowled in full tilt vs India and NZ. went back to his old ways in remaining games and did not bowl with same speed even in semi final. His biggest asset is his speed and he bowled slower than Shaheen in this match

11. Shaheen Afridi: 9/10. Best new ball fast bowler in the game today. Needs to learn to get left handers out with his outswinger. Needs to learn the art of death bowling and he will be the most complete bowler for Pakistan since Wasim Akram.

If 10 is incredible, 1 is awful and a 6 means they did their role satisfactorily, here is mine:

1) Babar - 9/10 (Loses points for his team selection)
2) Rizwan - 9/10
3) Fakhar - 8/10 (Stepped up when it was needed)
4) Hafeez - 7/10 (His bowling is sadly finished)
5) Malik - 7/10
6) Asif - 8/10
7) Imad - 7/10 (Bowled well until the semis)
8) Shadab - 9/10
9) Hasan - 1/10 (I cannot recall anything of note he did in the whole tournament that wasn't a negative)
10) Rauf - 7/10
11) Shaheen - 9/10

6 and a hlf to the entire team. Yes we got too the semi's but lets remember that India and New Zealand were the only good teams we defeated.

Pakistan lost to South Africa in the Warm Up and then to Australia in the semi's. Both while defending, against SA we conceeded 200 and against Australia 178 in 19 overs. Tells you some of our bowlers i.e. Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali are very poor under pressure when attacked.

1) Babar - 8/10

No way Asif gets more than Rizwan. without rizwan you might have lost at least 2 group games

Which 2?

The India game was a good game but we won the match because of the bowlers.

Against NZ he scored at under a run a ball and we were bailed out by Asif and to a lesser extent Malik.

Asif on the other hand came out and delivered under exceptional pressure in two games. His contribution cannot be underestimated.

You cannot win without chasing or setting a proper base for hitters to hit. without that base there is no winning base

Babar 8.5
Rizwan 8.5
Fakhar 6
Hafeez 6
Malik 5
Asif 8
Imad 7.5
Shadab 9
Hassan Ali -1
Shaheen 8.5
Rauf 8

We couldn't drop Hasan Ali because we had uncapped Mohammad Wasim. wish we had another more experienced bowler in the lineup.

Pakistan won all its important matches because of their bowling. They setup the win for Pakistan batting. Get this straight.

Rizwan: 8/10 He had a good tournament, today was really good coz he was sick
Babar: 7/10 -> bad captaincy at times and decisions regarding game plan and player selection, today he was far too slow
Fakhar: 3/10 He failed (often the situation was do or die), today he was far too slow 18 off 18 after a wonderfull start, that it killed all tempo, the end fireworks werent enough as we should have gone past 190
Hafeez: 4/10 Nothing really to write home about, when it mattered he never clicked
Malik: 7/10 He had a point to prove and he did, no complaints, today he was sick and still flying around like a 19 yr old.
Asif: 7/10 He did well when needed, today he could have done better still: it was a do or die situation, he should have seen the slow onr coming his way.
Shadab: 6/10 All his points are litterally from today otherwise nothing great.
Imad: 6/10 Was decent against india.
Harris: 7/10 Did great, but he needs to realize fast slow fast slow trend/pattern will get picked up, will improve with experience.
Shaheen: 8/10 He got the indian success get to him slightly, was our gun, but despite the dropped catch should have focused on.

Guess what, the way team management is thinking, the likes of Wasim & Dahani may remain uncapped at the start of the next WC.

If you pick your first choice players (and Malik) for Bangladesh tour, that tells you everything.

Shadab bowled economically and chipped in with wickets throughout the tournament, and was good in fielding too. 7

He went into tournament with not much firm or expectations from fans. You cannot rank just against top teams there are many who were brilliant only against minnows in the tournament.

Rizwan - 9/10
Babar - 9/10
Fakhar - 6/10
Hafeez - 7/10
Malik - 7/10
Asif - 7/10
Imad - 7/10
Shadab - 8/10
Hasan - 2/10
Shaheen - 8/10
Rauf - 6/10

Don't worry guys both Malik and Hafeez and try to get better ratings in the next T20 word cup net year and then in the ODI World Cup!

According to Indian fan's perspective
1) Babar - 0/10
2) Rizwan - 0/10
3) Fakhar - 10/10
4) Hafeez - 5/10
5) Malik - 10/10
6) Asif - 10/10

I agree with OP mostly, and with most of the sensible members here. Hasan Ali has to have a 0/10 unfortunately, as much as I like his try hard attitude going for 40 or more in at least two games of a T20 tournament is bad and as I mentioned before, he should have been rotated for Wasim.

Imad Wasim I think should be a solid 7/10. his role is to contain the powerplay overs and he did that on almost every occassion.

Shaheen I will probably rate lower than most of you at 8/10. He needs to be much better at the tail end of an innings and learn to develop a ferocious bouncer, which will be needed on the flat pitches of Australia. But very good up front and smart with his cutters when it was needed.

Let's be honest, regardless of performance, the semi was a close game and Pakistan lost due to the toss, as did England. A scenario pretty much everyone predicted.

Babar: 6/10. Scored 4 fifties but 3 of those were against minnows. Against NZ and Australia, he didn’t do much with the bat. His captaincy was also quite mediocre at times. I am no Sarfraz fan, but had he been our captain, we would have beat Australia.
Rizwan: 8/10. Scored runs but too slow to get going. His inability to make a fast start cost us 10-15 runs against Australia.
Fakhar: 4/10. Played a great innings against Australia but nothing in the other matches.
Hafeez: 3/10. Performed decently against a couple of minnows but nothing against the top sides and did nothing of note as a bowler. Should simply retire.
Malik: 5/10. Did better than I thought he would, but shouldn’t be selected going forward.
Asif: 7/10. Won us the match against both NZ and Afghanistan. Didn’t have much of an opportunity with the bat in the following three matches.
Imad: 2/10. Useless with both bat and bowl.
Shadab: 7/10. Bowled better than he has done in recent times. He was the game changer against Australia. Unfortunately his efforts were in vain, thanks to a certain someone.
Rauf: 3/10. Bowler well at the start of the tournament, but went back to his mediocre self as the tournament went on. A couple of good performances don’t fool me. Rauf is a rubbish bowler.
Hasan: -100/10. Cost us match and potentially the World Cup. All of the other players had at least one good game. This guy was rubbish throughout. I simply can’t stand this guy and his god awful celebration.
Shaheed: 6/10. Bowled well with the new ball but he is simply isn’t much of a death bowler. There was no reason for him to concede 3 sixes after the dropped catch. Very poor and I hope he works on his death bowling.

Hasan had a really poor tournament, very poor. He gave away too many runs in the middle overs and near the end. He dropped the catch.

Teams targeted him through out the tournament, he should have bowled better knowing that.
