Come on now, Ifti is just a 25 year old lad. Kid probably got nervous :ifti

It will be an atrocity if Akmal is picked for the national team after his egregious PSL.

Yes he did do poorly. Mainly because he was versing above average bowlers and not the trundlers/pie-chuckers in IPL.

Really ? Can you quickly list the Above average bowlers in PSL vs pie chuckers in IPL , quite curious now :)

1. Iftikhar
2. Ahmed Shehzad

Why does anybody bother with Ravi Bopara?

The serial failure of international cricket is now the serial failure in T20 league cricket.

Tbh in pak there are more bowlers who can walk into the national team as a pacer or spinner but they cant as they were sidelined for various reasons... having been said that they also get carted when they are learnt how to play by the opposition, i mean their variations being decoded (not ajmal the chucka)...in fact gayle carted ajmal for 3 sixers on the role and he started to do old trick of chucking for the next 3 and got him out in the sixth ball of the over lol..... so gayle cant set his slog sight as target against any mediocre bowler or bowling lineup was the major difference.....

Its not easy to hit in UAE like you can on Indian roads.

I remember Gayle launching into Indian leggies and offies. Indian tracks are highways. Gayle can simply hit through the line without the fear of mistiming it or getting bowled by the turn.

Its not just Gayle. When you play in UAE, you have to be smart when hitting big shots. That is exactly why all the big hitters from overseas failed.

Quite possible , don't think it was the quality of bowling that he was facing.

Anybody who is putting Ifti in their side is just a blind hater with no eye for talent :ibutt

You're delusional if you think Shehzad had a bad PSL.

The serial failure of international cricket is now the serial failure in T20 league cricket.

He was one of the top players in the first PSL.

Think he got a bit underutilised this season to start off with to be fair! 329 runs @ 54.83 and 11 wickets @ 13.81 (econ 6.90) last season including man of the tournament and he ends up batting at 6 and barely getting a chance to bowl (less than an over per match on average) this season? Doesn't seem quite right.

He was batting at 5 and got plenty of opportunities due to Karachi's terrible top order. Barely played an innings of note.

I was surprised at the lack of overs as Karachi were playing some lesser bowlers earlier in the tournament but they did introduce more specialists later on.

You seem to have a extremely, extremely big inferiority complex and this coming from a guy whose country's fastest bowler is Sami. Yadav and Sami can wipe te floor with any of your bowlers. In every PSL match I saw the same inane comment. Also, Gayle is flop half the time in IPL and clicks once or twice. But dont let facts get in your way please

Ahmed Shehzad and Malik seriously ? they were better than Umar Akmal, rafat and Khushdil shah

I am surprised that Umar Akmal is escaping the Flop lists. Surely he was a flop.
