Things were becoming really good in terms of security but it seems that terrorists can strike at will if they feel like it having had 3-4 attacks in Lahore in last week alone.

And the thing is that even if the final is held it wont do anything to improve our image because the damage has been done already. However if the final is held in Lahore and God Forbid there is an incident, we will be done forever.

Basically the risk reward is not favorable AT ALL.

Some things are more important than a cricket match. It is clear that whoever is doing these exclusively has the PSL in mind considering timing and location. Not a coincidence.

So best is to have it in Dubai. I would have loved it to be in Pakistan...

Exactly. Sure, the cricketers would most likely be safe but to sacrifice the life of an army Jawaan who has worked hard his entire life to be there JUST for a cricket match between retired oldies and Paksitani players there because of nepotism is not worth it. Heck, even a match between All time XI's would not be worth it.

They don't have to. Take the money from Mickey Mouse cricket and use that to improve facilities, coaching and playing conditions at first class and grass roots level.

That will, in turn, improve Pakistani cricket with a stronger national team as well as raising the overall standard of the PSL.

Look we tried our best but it is not possible given the circumstances. It is important that we pushed the player and should continue to do so in the future, because if we leave it up to them, they will never be willing to play in Pakistan again. However, any act of terrorism directed at the cricketers now and we can forget about hosting international cricket for another 20 years.

Having another draft and replacing them with the players who are willing to play in Pakistan will be a total farce. We need to accept the reality and play in Dubai.
