He's played well, and kudos to him for playing that innings.
However, the elephant in the room is how to get him and Babar in the same side effectively. Ideally u want Babar and an aggressive opener (e.g. Sharjeel) to set the tempo. As good as Rizwan's innings ended up being, he still had too many dot balls in the powerplay. That type of batting will end up putting too much pressure on Babar I feel.
The innings he played confirmed more that he's a no.4 in ODIs rather than a consistently productive t20 opener, in that he starts slow and then can pick up the pace.
If Riz can learn how to rotate strike and play inside out in the PP, well then we're talking.
