Unfortunate, she was a good MP. Some are reporting it was heart attack.

Sad for her family and loved ones.

She did a great job as foreign secretary - loved the way she/her team responded to people's cries for help on social media.

Her last tweet....

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="und" dir="ltr">प्रधान मंत्री जी - आपका हार्दिक अभिनन्दन. मैं अपने जीवन में इस दिन को देखने की प्रतीक्षा कर रही थी. <a href="https://twitter.com/narendramodi?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@narendramodi</a> ji - Thank you Prime Minister. Thank you very much. I was waiting to see this day in my lifetime.</p>— Sushma Swaraj (@SushmaSwaraj) <a href="https://twitter.com/SushmaSwaraj/status/1158737840752037889?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 6, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Hold on. Reports are coming that she is still battling for life. NDTV reporting she is critical.

I remembered her comments she gave on capturing balochistan anf azad kashmir ,all of bjp is no different than daesh or alqaeeda so in short yes she was a extremist.

I won't say much because our religion teaches us to be respectful of the dead of even your worst enemy, but I cannot say that I'm saddened by this news.

Out of interest what does OM Shanti mean? Is There A Heaven And Hell Or Will She Be Reincarnted?

Om Shanti' means peace for the all human kind, peace for all living and non living beings, peace for the universe, peace for each and every things in this whole cosmic manifestation.

Is There A Heaven And Hell Or Will She Be Reincarnted?

I dnt know I never died. Neither she told me yet.

why do so many desis drop dead from heart attacks?

Diet, tendency to stress over little things, sedentary lifestyle (less/no exercise).

In her case, it may have been exacerbated by the kidney related ailments (including post kidney transplant care) that she was battling for some time.

RIP .. one of the great EAMs that India has had. She was an unusually empathetic leader.

Such a shame she couldn't get balochistan. Maybe when she gets recarnated she will.

I’ll say this about everyone, especially those who really need God’s forgiveness!

What does your religion say about this?

Never mind, Ill start a thread on Hindusim to see if people believe it's a peaceful religion and if the BJP/RSS leadership adhere to it's major principles. Please do comment. :)

I’d request my brothers to not speak ill of the dead one.

It is between her and Allah s.w.t.

Do posters think after life will in practical terms be based on the religion a person follows?

RIP.

There's a lot of Pakistanis who requested for her help directly through twitter - so that their loved ones could be admitted into Indian hospitals for treatment. And she expedited many such requests which did help save a lot of Pakistani lives who have said on record that they are grateful to her for the rest of their lives.

No, it's because of genetics. Desis have a high predisposition for diabetes, hypertension, obesity and also smaller arteries thus higher chances of blockages.

Zaid Hamid flying in the air with the news, he says shes the one that traped her in SA to get jailed and tried to get him extradited to india

I'm sorry for the thousands that will suffer in Kashmir.

Search for a thread on hinduism on PP. You will find. Dnt worry about BJP following hinduism or not. But invaders who invaded india & killed , converted millions of people surely followed their religion and that being continued even at present in many parts of the world by certain section of society ,known to everyone.
BJP is like iota in front of them. I would say lynching not more than 60-70 person in last 10 years out of 125 crore population and in return have their own religion or party people killed is nothing more than a shame for a so called extremist party. They are no match to the extremist parties and UN recognized terrorists present across the border.

As per them we all going to hell as we dnt follow their religion. So does not matter. All non Muslims will be going to hell. Yeah exceptions might be made as per certain conditions but chances are very less.

We all have to taste death I'm not laughing or poking fun at ones demise.

They plan and Allah plans and Allah is the best of planners.

It's the same in Christianity, worlds largest religion.

Guys - keep discussion on her life/politics - leave religion out of this

There's no concept of heaven in hinduism, just reincarnation.

As we told you, hinduism is very wide concept.

There is a swarag called heaven and narak called hell concept in hinduism.
Then there is also recarnation. One doesn't go easily to heaven.
He has to attain moksha and get free from the cycle of reicarnation.

You are spending your effort in vain. Remember one thing, generally the ones converted by force/manipulation are more loyal so much so that they speak language and follow culture of their invaders more instead of their own language and culture. This trait is particularly visible when the conversion happens via force and the victims get impacted to an extent where they start worshipping the invader by belittling their own culture.

On the other hand a person who converts by choice will remain more rational, inclusive and celebrate human diversity.

For the 100th time, most South Asian muslims weren’t forced to convert to Islam. How hard is it for some of you to understand?

Oh pls. If that was the case then hindus would still have been getting converted at the same rate. It's simple that at that time of invasions , they were not given much choice other than to convert. High taxes for non muslims, life threats, etc many things were the reasons for conversion.

Do you know about sikhism? Do you know how Guru Teg Bahadur could not get converted by them and instead gave his head for hindus.

There was bet that if they cud convert Guru teg bahadur to Islam then whole region, mainly nearby kashmir, Punjab etc would get converted to Islam. They kept torcher him., but could not convert him. He died for hindus and he is being called as hind di chaadar. These are all known facts. Atrocities by invaders has been known to all.
Unfortunately in Pakistan, you have been brainwashed since childhood.

Sigh....

I was born and raised in Sweden, so don’t even try to imply that i’ve been brainwashed by Pak studies.

In Punjab(where i’m from) - Differences between Hindus and Muslims were less important than differences betwwen clans and tribes. Most Punjabis didn’t give much importance to the caste system like UP or Maharashtra does. Most conversions to Islam in Punjab occured because of economic and social reasons. Islam was seen as prestigious.

In Sindh - which was mostly Buddhist than Hindu, Islam was seen as more ’egalitarian’ because of the lack of caste system. Therefore conversion to Islam happened with great ease.

Although conversion to Islam was common during the Mughal Empire, Islam grew rapidly during the British Raj. Sufism also played a huge role to the growth of Islam in South Asia. Islam thrived because of the attractiveness of Islamic egalitarianism and the social/political advantages you had if you were a muslim during the Mughal Empire.

Of course forced conversions happened but it’s often exaggerated by Hindu Nationalists, i hope you understand that. (Ironic that you would call me brainwashed). :riaz

I suggest you read more books on South Asia instead of getting your information from Whatsapp and Republic TV.

Though I hate BJP's brand of politics, Sushma was a moderate voice compared to Modi's cronies. She was more from the Vajpayee school of politics. I hope on this condolence thread we remember the good she did, especially in Indo-Pak matters.

Eman Ahmed to Pak nationals, Sushma Swaraj ensured medical visas for all

During her tenure as India's external affairs minister, Sushma Swaraj had eased permissions for Pakistanis to visit India for medical treatment despite growing strains between the two countries.

Well then why come pakistani punjabi muslims still use hindus surnames. You live in Sweden and myself born in India and know the reality more than you. Twisting words won't change the reality. Budhism, hinduism , jainism, sikhism are all bhartiya born religions. So it doesn't matter.

Religion has always been a political tool for the powers that be. The way socio political advantages were doled out in medieval India by Mughal rulers as well as taxing middle class and lower middle class Hindus to facilitate conversion was definitely more political as opposed to anything spiritual or cultural. Ofcourse the horrible caste system and class system prevalent only furthered that cause. Christian missionaries from Portuguese and Early British did use it to their benefits as well. Even RSS is also doing the same by exploiting social malices in pockets. So if anybody thinks that the kings then and rulers now have been patrons of spiritualism, they can continue to live in their la la Land. They have their own political power game interests which are much more complex and can't be analyzed through a simple lens of religion or nationalism.

One could write essays on her anti Pakistan narrative, she belonging to a hindu terrorist group called BJP, or how she felt proud of the fact that she took away the rights on Kahsmiri's.

But one should admire her for intervening during the visa process of Pakistanis who needed visa.

Medical needs are no joke, and if there isnt good treatment available God knows what goes through a persons mind. But she deserves credit for intervening on the behalf of such people. Im thankful that she had a good heart in this matter.

Hope God forgives all her sins for the good deed she did by helping out those Pakistanis who needed urgent medical attention.

Well then, it looks like Sushma did another great thing.

Force does not mean always by sword. People can be manipulated when you create economic or social opportunities for people who comply. It can be further supplemented through controlled narratives and propaganda materials. It happened then, it's happening now. More so where religious right also controls the political landscape.

My comment was not just limited to religion or Islam by the way .

Good riddance

Please show some gratitude. Mrs Sushma Swaraj went out of her way as the Foreign Minister to expedite visas for several Pakistani families whose dangerously ill children needed urgent medical care including organ transplants in Indian hospitals.

It's called grandstanding, she was obviously a narcissist.
