Fruits become more expensive in Ramadan in Pakistan  (Pakistani muslim merchants should rethink what is Islam about as their current actions are in contrary to the spirit of Islam.)

On social media a campaign in Karachi was started to boycott fruits in Ramadan so that the prices comes down. It has been successful and fruit prices have come down by at least 20%. Now the campaign has expanded to other parts of Pakistan. :19:

It is a good way to protest. The poor need to do something.

Here in Norway things get cheaper in Ramadan, but in Pakistan it is other way around, seems strange.

In South Africa and in most free market economies the price of fruit is determined by supply and demand.

A shortage of fruit leads to a price increase of the fruit increase.

An oversupply of fruit leads to a price decrease.

Fruit producers deliberately dump fruit to create an artificial scarcity to increase the price of fruit

see video below

If only they boycotted real culprits sitting in the parliament sucking blood of poor people for decades, they wouldn't need to boycott poor shopkeepers. Poor vendors are going to be mostly impacted by this boycott rather than wealthy businessmen.

Same people who are supporting Fruit Boycott are trending #ISupportKhaadi and it shows their mentality
