Had not watched 3 episodes in a row. Deliberately avoided coming here. What a conclusion damn! The repeated stabbing of Talisa was nasty. Epic ending.

4th and 5th book were not good but show will be better because they will condensate them from season 4.5 to 6.2 (aprox). And they will add stuff like the hunt as well as cut off the two most boring story-lines (D&B)

So for non book readers who were in the stark camp, who do you go for now? Team Khaleesi, Team Lannister or Team Stannis ?

Khaleesi of course. Stannis has the creepy mystic stuff going on although he does have Melisandre who makes me rather...:asadrauf. Everyone hates the Lannisters. Besides, Khaleesi has Barristen Selmy and Ser Jorah along with Dario and of course the unsullied spearheaded by the badass Grey Worm.

I have always been Team Stark (Snow) and always will. I enjoy many Boltons, Lannisters, Tyrells, Targaeryen and
Blackfyre(s)
but Starks are still the end game.

And I think Martin has the same idea. ''When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives.''.

The Starks are the only ones that think as a pack and winter is coming.

I like the Starks too. But their flaw is that the world is not as good and noble as they are. It's filled with scum like Littlefinger, The Lannisters, Freys and the Greyjoys, including Theon Greyjoy who is currently from Middlesex.
 
Yes, but one of the main themes is that the Game of Thrones is irrelevant when winter is coming and the White Walkers are arriving south. So, ultimately, it only makes sense that there is no Stark wanting the throne.

Anyways, I am saying that but, after the Red Wedding, I played CKII as Robb Stark and, long story short, it was not good to be a Frey, a Lannister or Stannis. :p

Lannisters for me. There's a solid reason behind it as well! If they do well, I'll be happy because I'm supporting them. But if anything happens, I'll be happier :p

Jokes apart, Khaleesi for the win!

Season 4 will be big for him and I'm sure like jaime his fanbase will grow

Well the people that play stannis , davos and Tyrion have signed deals with hbo for another 6 years. Also the last 2 books have not been finished yet. I reckon probably 8 seasons in all. Right now we are half way through the 3rd book

Lol i enjoyed itbut then i read alot of history stuff and my expectations were low..i just liked the way he set things up for dance with dragons..great stuff.. Im having to re read some bits just to remember minor stuff..

I enjoyed all the books tbh..reminds.me of medieval history..

As for those rooting for khaleesi..dont worry you can root for someone else other than her..im rooting for arya..and well cant say who else coz its a massive spoiler..

Danny seems plain dumb to me in books. The HBO character is far more attractive. Going just by the books, Davos's chapters are the most amazing. Stannis-Davos FTW!

Because the Andals invaded Westeros after the long winter.

Think of Westeros as Britain.
The first men (Starks, Boltons, Wildlings etc) are the celts.
Whole thing with white walkers happened when only they were around.

Later the Andals (angles, saxons, jutes) moved in to the southern half (England) and took over.

Then the Targaryens (William the Conquerer) came in and became Kings.

Warging is a form of transferring Soul of human into body of animal/ another human. That's essentially a transformation. Bran warged into a direwolf. So he essentially did become a werewolf i think.

I hate these breaks really. Sometimes it takes the interest away.

The most they could do is to air new season after 2,3 months thats it.

Person grows grey hair in waiting for next seasons

when i see many intelligent posters discussing fiction with such gutso and rooting for characters as if they are real, i feel i am missing something. i used to think the same when i saw women discussing saah bahu dramas, but i want to see it in a different light now, because many intelligent posters are into it.

Why would you stop routing for Starks??? !!! there is still Jon Snow...and even Aarya Stark....and Bran with his tricks ...Sansa is no hope though...

If you are talking other than starks..... I am routing for Khaleesi , Tyrion Lanniester and recently even Jaime Lannister....

Absolutely hate Jeffrey Baratheon, Cercie Lannister...and I am super irritated by Melisandre....although I like Stannis....

Still haven't seen the famous 9th episode. Looking forward to it (hence generally avoiding this thread).

Anyone have any good links for the episode?
 
aarya stark is going to be EVIL in the next season. i only just watched the episode with the wedding and i just started at the screen for about 5 mins in total shock. it's not going to be the same without the starks but i can't wait. and 8 months gap is absurd

Everyone loves Onion knight. Him learning to read with Edric Storm, Shereen, Devan and Pylos was a sweet part. Books tell a great deal about characters when they're talking to themselves in their mind, that important stuff we cant see on TV. I mean, Danny sounds so stupid in the books whenever she's thinking something. Ohh Ser Jorah just kissed me, how dare he, i am a queen. Oh Daario wants to sleep with me, no i am a queen. :))
 
They screwed the Edric Storm character btw with this Gendry sht.
 
tbh this series was kinda boring until the 7th episode. certainly nowhere near as entertaining as the first. should the whole of SOS been just one series?

Agreed. This season gas been a let down if it weren't for episodes 5 and 9 which were probably in the top 3 episode made so far across all seasons.

It is the same thing as when we cheer for India or Pakistan cricket team. Everyone (I hope) is perfectly aware that it is just players (without much personality for most) hitting on a ball with a wood piece with a certain skill while wearing our national flag, yet we don't mind defending them like they are our own brothers fighting at war or something. Not looking at it with cold blooded logic is the only way you can be entertained by it.

Honestly, other than on this forum, I couldn't care less whether Stannis is King or whether Junaid Khan averages 15 in Champions Trophy.

Give it a try, it has very high production and acting values, as well as brilliant TV writting. Every episode is better in this aspect than many movies (I am not going to take a shot a Bollywood here :p)

Brilliant actress, even Charles Dance (tywin) says she is his favorite actor on the show

The guy has written an epic series, or may be the HBO has created an epic series of an ordinary book, can't say as I haven't read the book.

I thoroughly enjoyed every episode of this season. Finale was a little bit anti-climatic but people expect too much sometimes.
 
The Red Wedding should have been the season finale and tonights ep should have been the opening for the 4th season

They needed to show all the different threads in the closer. Basically every character was covered. But way too little time to cover it all. Season finale should always be a two hour ep

I haven't read the books but Stannis is in my top 3 characters in the series so far. I can tell though that the character in the series hasn't been fully thought out as the others have.
 
9th episode has always been better than 10th in all 3 seasons.
