Everyone really needs to take a step back and calm down particularly those who are quick to criticize or make wild assumptions about the army.

This isn’t some action film where every move is dramatic and publicly broadcasted. In real life, military operations are strategic and carefully thought out.

The idea that the army would openly share sensitive plans with the media or anonymous individuals on social media or with a pakistan forum is not only unrealistic, it's outright absurd. These matters are handled with discretion and professionalism, not for public spectacle or online debate.

So before jumping to conclusions or spreading misinformation, it’s worth remembering that not everything is meant to be seen or understood by the public in real time.

Pakistani establishment is in the same position that the Indian government was in, a few days ago. The public demands a reaction. Modi did what he had to do when cornered. Let's see what Gen. Asim Munir does

Khwaja Asif said nothing wrong though to these so called British/American journalists who are trying to paint Pakistan as a pro terrorist state. Pakistan is indeed paying the price of creating the problem that suited these countries when appropriate for them.

He didn't say anything wrong, but he got played into addressing previous US support for jihadi groups in Pakistan. He should just have answered what has that got to do with Pahalgam attack considering no evidence had been presented from Indian side that there was any link.

When IK was in power india didnt attack pakistan like this and were also embarrassed in return.

Sharif as PM and the general have huge expectation now to respond strongly. If they dont , they wont last their terms

They will respond you just need to be patient.

I don't understand why some PTI supporters are so eager to rush into reckless action, even if it means risking civilian lives and national humiliation.

War is not something to be taken lightly it requires careful strategy, not impulsive moves driven by emotion or politics.

This is war. There should be no PTI or PMNL at this point. They are bit players anyway. It is time for the Pakistan military command to step up and take charge publicly.

Unity government should be in place. Bilalwal can handle foreign media well there is similar talent across the parties.. Army brought these N league Chachus in for a reason domestically but they ain't cut out for international politics. It's time they are benched.

Most of the warfare is fought Infront of the media. Yes it is a time for unity but it's hard be to br united behind such incompetence

The military should either assign media duties to someone they deem competent or do this themselves. If you want to run a country, this is part of the package.

They can't come Infront of the cameras themselves because they like to pretend democracy and they can't bring anyone competent forward because they would be a threat to the military internally.

It's nice to say we should be united, but we should be clear what and why we are compelled to unite behind.

The difference here seems to be , india are still actively attacking pakistan acc to ispr. Defence is good but a deterrent is needed immediately If they continue attacks on a daily basis.

The Americans used to wheel out the Saudi General during the first Iraq war to present an Arab face for their colonialism. I think in times of war you can put military faces in the spotlight, especially if you have appointed incompetents as pretend govts. Unless of course the military spokesmen are just as useless, in that case there would not be much point.

Today is the second day war dont get over in a day like a boxing match.

when someone strikes first, your immediate response is to defend yourself, then secure your position, and only after that you attack

The Inds are attacking all of PK and we should have hit back. Our Jawans are brave but are led by guys that don't have any legitimacy . The Ind media were humiliating our fake leaders because they don't have any support.

We have 600,000 troops and we have bravery Jawans but we have no leadership. Did you see the pathetic leadership from SS or Khwaja Asif or Tata Tarrar. These guys are attacking PKs when legitimate questions are raised for political reasons. We need hit back ASAP.

They have to respond soon. Otherwise this will be a surrender with grave consequences.

Public is fuming already and whatever little support Munir gathered will vanish if we don't come out on top. Milli naghme on Ary and Geo won't do anymore when India is literally targeting our cricket stadiums !

These guys are an embarrassment. Even Bilawal handles media better than these jaahils and he is half their age.

They think they are sitting in some talkshow with Javed Chaudary or some other lifafa where they can jugat their way out of arguments.

IMO, this whole thing is going on according to Munir's plan. India, unfortunately took the bait.

Pak Army's image has been at a historical lows. The civilian government is weak. What was unthinkable few weeks ago is now happening - entire Pakistan uniting behind the army against an external factor. Just like Yahya Khan, Zia, Musharraf - Munir will graduate from de-factor leader to the actual leader with title as well as power.

Fauj will continue to fatten - after the recent hiccups.

Nobody cares about PTI, or even worse, the SC verdict upholding court martial for civilians under Pakistan Army act.

There was only one reason behind his statement. Reminding the West on a public platform that we backed your lot against the Soviets and have been your lapdogs for generations… time to pay us back for our loyalty and decrease the pressure you’re applying on us.
 
So what was his final retort? was he actually planning to Nuke India if not for Ceasefire.
Another aspect is West might not like this bravado and what they did to several other leaders in the past , so he has to be very wary of that.

Zia came at a different time. Munir can't change the constitution, kill innocent people and back the Sharifs and AZs and then also claim to be " Islamic". That deception won't work when you are backing the Sharifs,who backed Ind in the conflict and then being imposed on PK.

I will wait to see who did what. I am not convinced that it was him that made the decision. It seems the Air Marshall was the main guy. How do we know- just look at the tweets of the Gunga and Gungi. No mention of him or his brave pilots. Just lots rigorous rubbing of Munir

The torture in pak jails is proportional to differences in ethnicity bloodline, political views, and religious biases.

Having a moh'd prefix in your name mitigates the latter. The habit of brown nosing jurnails further limits the pain.

On the former, if you are punjabi, you are guaranteed to get away with murder. Just like '71.

You are delusional to think imran khan is enemy of pak but then again one can expect this from cult follower of NS .Why is your leader scared to say anything against india?
 
This little skirmish is not good for the future. The least Imran Khan did was shed light on the role of the army in civilian life and with each passing day that’s being buried. I’m convinced India would have been less adventurous had Imran Khan been reeling off one of his speeches preemptively. Instead we had bumbling Shehbaz who hid behind the scenes. Or was it inevitable after 2019 India would actually bomb something instead of a few trees?
