Global IQ Levels

Though not the most accurate measure for intelligence, IQ levels are currently the best measure we have. It’s interesting to note that on a global scale, South Asia has below average IQ levels compared to the West and the Far East.

Some people also use this to promote their racist views that IQ is genetic and is due to racial differences.

What are people’s thoughts on this?

Indians living in India have an IQ of 82 on average while Indian-Americans have an IQ of 112 on average.

I don’t think most races differ that much on IQ. Some countries just have a better quality of education.

IQ test is pseudoscience nonsense. Education is a big component, check out IQ stats in USA 6 decades back when education penetration was less. Stupid system where PPers will score more than a certain uneducated servant named Mir Sultan Khan. There will be many criminals in the society who will fail these type of exams but are super intelligent.

After 20 years IQ scores in 3rd world countries will go up, it still won't mean anything. I do feel genes play some role in various facets like intelligence, innovativeness, physical strength, endurance etc but IQ system is so stupid that it can't ever be taken seriously. IQ tests were banned/discouraged in USSR, outside some Western countries most aren't aware of this test.

I don't think intelligence can be measured objectively. Intelligence is subjective.

So, IQ is a bit of horseshit and a scam. It gives an indication but it is no way 100% perfect.
