Very good point. Sometimes we have to wonder how certain players would cope in different eras. My team is quite "modern" but I might have to stretch back in time for an opener.

I will post them round by round. If we do it in advantage, it takes away from the fun and risk. And just so you know, even I don't know the order until I use the random number generator to post the list.

Man the tension is palpable. The next round is going to be huge. Two power packed ODI teams with tons of names to choose from! The draft order is going to be very crucial. Just hoping it goes in my way:stokes

Why not just start the next round as this is last pick so he could pick whoever he wants

You already have the greatest new ball bowler. With Crowe at #3 or #4. You need an Opener.

If you can imagine a more impact player than Shewag, Jayasuriya, Sayeed Anwar, Srikkanth, Guptil - and a legend; it is Haydous. Matty Hayden would not only put fear in opponent bowlers heart, he would tear apart any confidence opponent Captain has to contain him. He cannot be stopped nor denied. With 10 ODI centuries and God knows how many World Cups.... he is an enforcer.

Second Aussie choice is David Warner. 13 centuries and counting. The name should be enough. If any one wants to argue with you on this pick just tell them SR. If they still want to argue, ask them, Would you like to have AB Dev type player to open for your team?

Choose any of them and you will not regret any.

SLan Pick: You need a captain or a VC. Not very many captains can match wits the Ranatunga. WC champion as well. Winners have that extra will to put you on the top at crucial times. 13/14 centuries. In modern times = 20+.

Lasith Malinga. I don't think I need to introduce him to the world. Toe crushing yorkers is just a similar replacement with the other half of the Ws with two new balls. Brtter SR than Vaas. Obviously faster.

Maxwell is the only other player I would consider because he can bowl few overs for you.

I have given you the tools to succeed. P.S. Warner and Malinga. New generation will garner you more votes at the end.

Just make your aus and sl picks ... round 3 order will be random. It is yet to be confirmed

just make your pick for this round and you will not be having the first pick next round, as any one who has alreday been in the top 2 or bottom 2 will not be in those positions again.

This means that hypothetically one team may end up having as many as 5 players from 1 country.

These are all ATG players and one will have to think hard to trade one, Even then trade should be coupled with a rule that no team end up having more than 2 players from 1 country.

I don't think so. I assume a lot of you are very young but I don't think Kohli is anywhere near the best ODI player India have produced and I don't think AB would be a top 3 picks...but I won't mention any other names as I'm still waiting for my turn lol
 
Will go for Yuvraj Singh and Quinton de Kock.
 
De kock as the 4th pick for the south africans. Interesting choice, i wasnt expecting him to be selected so early. Tactical choice? Did u need an opening bat and a keeper

Yeah wanted a solid wicki didn't want to leave it till the end. With Arsalan nicking AB thought de Kock was a decent choice :))

Assuming im first pick next round i have my wk chosen haha but de kock is a good choice. The difficulty with voting on who has the best team at the end of this is going to be comparing players from different eras. Statistically de kock must be pretty good
