To further enhance the PSL experience I can confirm PSL is in talks with a brave and courageous umpire to join the umpiring panel.

There are 9 available slots in platinum. I don’t remember the rule but I think each franchise has to pick a certain amount of Pakistan players in the platinum category.

You really need to clear this out. It’s probably the biggest detriment in attracting enough international quality stars. They will not waste their time in the PSL being paid less than guys who are poor T20 players. Pakistanis are crap T20 players barring maybe Amir and Saim atm
 
Also I think the PCB should demote all of its players from Platinum, and reserve that only for International pros.

How do you expect someone like Finn Allen to register if 70% of the top money bracket is already occupied by jobbers he has buried? Like there are only 5-6 spots left for International pros to make the platinum category?

It will be disastrous and poor if the PSL fails to sign on David Warner, Steve Smith, Kane Williamson, Finn Allen, Mark Chapman, Michael Bracewell, Glen Phillips, Johnny Bairstow, Chris Woakes etc.

These players are not signed with the IPL during the windowt . The PCB and the Franchises should be able to come up with lucrative offers to entice these players.

Well, you need to get your own house in order first and sort out the platinum category vacancies.

That’s your first stumbling block. NO PAKISTAN PLAYER IS REALISTICALLY A PLATINUM T20 PLAYER.

First sort this issue out and then watch more players register as this will open up 24 slots in the platinum category, where players will pick up $300-400k for the entire tournament.

Mark Chapman, finn Allen and jonny bairstow need to be signed atleast.

The 170-0 phainta that he administered to the Indians in that semi final was the most epic chapaits ever. Dude ended Bhuveneshwar Kumar’s respectable career that day by treating him like a spinner. Great striker is Halesyy.

Yes Please select the More Retired players who had performed against india few year ago but now retired from international cricket .

How about Haydon &Gilli? they have performed well against india so should be considered for the PSL aka retired Player league .

Santner was sold to MI.

Daryl Mitchell was announced already. It had to be him otherwise. I don't recall any other white player that is not playing for CSK anymore. Unless they're talking about a retired player like Dirk Nannes

New Zealand players are really under rated. Great players, but i doubt these guys will even come due to their security concerns in Pakistan.

If they do sign up, than PCB needs to impose some clauses aswell. Dont need them running out of the league in between.
 
Still has maybe 2 years left in him. Not a bad addition, especially considering how Guptill deleted Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi last season.
 
This is reasonably good work,

But you must get the current top brass international pros who haven’t been picked up in IPL this season.

Why Finn Allen and Rickleton have not yet been signed up is weird!
 
Pakistani players have to take a big pay cut too accommodate these big foreign players. The likes of Babar, Shaheen, Rizwan will protest.

This guy plays random T10 leagues on Random Islands now. He’s back to his pre-Australia journeyman ways. He won’t cost more than what the stated bracket he’s registered in.

Like every big player... this guy will only play few games and run away back down under.
We should have opted to go for younger top tier talent than for David Warner.. Should have learned from Steve Smith and AB De Villiers..

The prominent ones in the know break the news straight away. No reliable journalist has reported Pakistan players will have to take pay cuts.

Although, realistically no Pakistan player should be in the Platinum category. They are not that level of T20 cricketer!

PSL committee don’t mess around now, they won’t pay the player if the commitment to them isn’t complete.

Russow I'm sure will be picked again. Retention have certain rules. Teams adjust to it. Hence the relegation requests, ambassador and mentor picks, overseas limit per category etc.

Rassie was their number 3. You don’t pick an out and out opener for a specialist number 3 and 4.

You 100% get Warner over Rassie.
 
Saim opening with Warner would be a treat, considering what Saim could learn from Warner.

However, I would like to see Sami open with M.Haris.

The Franchise budget for paying players is max $900,000. If someone like Warner has to be paid above his FMV pay, the other players will have to take a pay cut automatically.

The PSL franchises had told the PCB that the local Pakistani superstars like Shaheen, Babar, Rizwan were not going to be happy knowing that the foreign Super stars were going to be paid more than them hence why the opposition to direct signings.
 
I believe Cricket Joshilla reported that the foreign IPL Commentators were being paid as high as $750k and Warner was being considered for an IPL commentary gig. Why would he forgo that to play in the PSL for a significantly lesser pay?

It won’t be a disaster.T20 leagues are for entertainment for home fans.As long as the standard of cricket is not low it doesn’t matter who plays in PSL.

Retired players need some income before they become too old or unfit to play.If they perform then it doesn’t matter.Broad and Anderson were playing when they were close to 40.Misbah was play when he was over 40

IPL rejects some player due to politics or it wants to show it’s financial muscle.IPL is a different league.There is no need to compare IPL with PSL or other leagues.PSL can’t compete with IPL financially.It doesn’t need to.PSL should put together decent teams within it’s means.The fans will still turn up because they want to see entertainment.Indians mock BPL too but the grounds are full.Bangladeshis are enjoying the games.Who cares what Indians think.

$500k usd is the maximum paid.

Warner is not good enough yet for this category. He is a boring commentator so wont make big money.
