England have gone through a phase of being ridiculed after being beaten by Ireland, to now being crowned the world champions.

It's taken a Morgan captaincy and a long hard look at how to play, and change the way they move forward to get to this stage. England are to be feared now and that's been in the planning for a few years.

Regarding New Zealand, this final would hurt them more than the previous one vs Australia in 2015. Here, today, they were a misjudged catch [Boult] and an overthrow away from the ultimate price in ODIs.

Let's be honest here though, NZ didn't lose they drew the actual game and then did the same in the "super over". This should be a shared price and my heart genuinely goes to the Kiwi fans all over. But I digress.

The final was fantastic, the atmosphere was fantastic the weather was excellent and the game was the best final I have witnessed.

Well done to Stokes/Buttler for hanging in there and getting the runs at the end to get England across at the end. The bowlers did a great job too, especially Woakes and then in the latter over, Plunkett and Archer.

I hope teams around the world now see how England play, how they introduce their attack-minded batting to 50-over cricket, and how they attack all the way down the order, and they see this should be the way forward not the 90's cricket of *wickets in hand*.

Great day for cricket, and what a great day for sports overall [Federer :(]

NZ were robbd. the deflection should have been ruled as a dead play. England are flat track bullies, they aren't any good. Even a team like Pak or SL can beat them.
