Not surprised.

Indian-Origin Man Opposed Stranger Urinating On His Car In Canada, Killed

Arvi Singh Sagoo, 55, was returning to the car with his girlfriend after dinner when they found a stranger urinating on the car. After that, the situation took a violent turn.

An Indian-origin businessman in Canada was attacked by a stranger in an unprovoked incident after the former found him urinating on his car. The assault took place in Edmonton on October 19.

Arvi Singh Sagoo, 55, was returning to the car with his girlfriend after dinner when they found the stranger urinating on the car. After that, the situation took a violent turn.

Sagoo asked the stranger, "Hey, what are you doing?", to which the man responded by saying, "Whatever I want." He then walked up to Sagoo and punched him in the head. He fell to the ground after the attack, after which his girlfriend called 911, Sagoo's brother told Global News. When the paramedics arrived, Arvi was already unconscious. Although he was taken to the hospital and placed on life support, he died five days later.

The accused has been identified as Kyle Papin and has been arrested by the Edmonton Police and charged with aggravated assault.

Vincent Ram, a close friend of Sagoo, launched a fundraiser to support his children and to cover funeral costs and living expenses.

"This fundraiser aims to support a very kind and loving father who is facing death and ensuring that his two children have the necessary resources and support during this challenging time," the message reads.

Punjab Man Shot Dead In Canada, Cops Suspect Targeted Killing

Yuvraj was known to have no criminal record, and the motive for his murder remains under investigation, the Royal Canadian Police said.

Surrey:
An Indian-origin man from Punjab's Ludhiana was shot dead in Canada's Surrey on Friday. The victim, Yuvraj Goyal, arrived in Canada in 2019 on a student visa and had recently received his Canadian Permanent Resident (PR) status.

Yuvraj, 28, worked as a sales executive. His father, Rajesh Goyal, operates a firewood business, while his mother, Shakun Goyal, is a homemaker. Yuvraj was known to have no criminal record, and the motive for his murder remains under investigation, the Royal Canadian Police said.

The incident took place on June 7 at 8:46 am, when the Surrey Police received a call reporting a shooting in the 900-block of 164 Street in Surrey, British Columbia. Upon arrival, officers found Yuvraj dead. The police have taken four suspects under custody.

The suspects, Manvir Basram (23), Sahib Basra (20), and Harkirat Jhutty (23) of Surrey, and Keilon Francois (20) of Ontario, have been charged with first-degree murder on Saturday.

"We are thankful for the hard work of the Surrey RCMP, Air 1, and Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team (IERT), but there is still more work to be done. Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) investigators remain dedicated to determining why Mr Goyal was the victim of this homicide," said Sergeant Timothy Pierotti

Preliminary investigation into the case suggests that the shooting was targeted, although the reasons behind Yuvraj's killing are still being explored, he added.

Indian-Origin Medical Worker Arrested In US For Sexually Exploiting Children

In some of Patel's chat logs, he "openly [requested] child sexual abuse materials for his personal sexual gratification."

Washington:
An Indian origin man has been arrested in the United States' Phoenix over suspicion of sexually abusing minors. The police action against 31-year-old Jaydeep Patel, a former behavioural health technician at Phoenix Children's Hospital, came after more than 1,200 photos and videos of child porn were found on his electronic devices, according to local media reports.

Patel was arrested on July 17 and charged with nine counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, with each count being a class two felony, an AZCentral report said. Such felonies reportedly carry a prison sentence of three to 12 and a half years for first-time offenders who are convicted.

The case came to light in 2024, after police received a series of tips online regarding a social media profile that possessed Child Sexual Abuse Materials (CSAM). The tips reportedly came from an Internet Service Provider that is "known for instant messaging on mobile profiles to include chat exchanges and the sharing of images and videos," Fox 10 reported.

During the probe, police reportedly served a search warrant at Patel's home and on multiple social media accounts tied to his cellphone number. They found several transcripts of explicit messages that the accused allegedly sent, the contents of which were graphic. In some of the chat logs, the accused "openly [requested] child sexual abuse materials for his personal sexual gratification," court documents showed.

Police also found explicit images and videos of minors, in some of which Patel's home or body was also allegedly visible. In nine video files recovered from his social media account, young, grade-school-aged girls were seen either exposing themselves or engaging in sexual conduct, according to documents.

On July 21, Phoenix Children's Hospital issued a statement regarding the incident, claiming Patel had cleared all the standard background checks at the time of hiring.

"The safety of our patients and their families is our top priority. In accordance with our policies, we conduct thorough background checks during the pre-employment screening process and at regular intervals for current employees. This individual is no longer employed with us, and we are in full cooperation with law enforcement officials," the statement read.

A judge has reportedly set a cash-only appearance bond of $100,000 for Patel. Should he make bond, he would be subjected to a number of restrictions, including electronic monitoring, curfew restrictions, and a no-exceptions ban on contacting minors.

The next hearing in his case is scheduled for July 28.

SUV Riddled With Bullets: Bengaluru Techie Shot Dead in 'Targeted' Attack in Canada - Inside the Chilling Case

A 37-year-old Bengaluru techie, Chandan Kumar, was shot dead in a daylight attack in Toronto, Canada, after his SUV was riddled with bullets at a mall parking lot. Police are treating it as a targeted killing. The incident has shocked the Indian diaspora.

A 37-year-old tech professional, a native of Thyamagondlu village near Nelamangala in Bengaluru, was shot dead in a daylight attack in Canada's Toronto. The techie Chandan Kumar's SUV was riddled with bullets while he was sitting inside it at the parking lot of a shopping mall on Saturday. The brutal killing of a Bengaluru techie has shocked the nation and the Indian diaspora in Canada.
The Toronto Police Service (TPS) issued a statement, saying that the officers rushed to the spot after receiving reports of a shooting, and found Chandan with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a TOI report.

The visuals from the scene showed Chandan's white SUV riddled with bullet holes, following which the authorities are treating the killing as a "targeted" attack. The suspects reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, police said. Notably, the shooting marks Toronto's third homicide of the year.

Who Was

Chandan Nandakumar, originally from Karnataka, was an IT professional. He hailed from Thyamagondlu in Nelamangala on the outskirts of Bengaluru. He was currently residing in Brampton in the Greater Toronto Area.
His family members said that Chandan had repeatedly postponed his return to India, saying that if he had listened to us, he would have been alive. The victim's mother claimed her son had formed a Kannada association in Toronto, which could be the reason behind his killing.
“We spoke to him last Friday. He said he would take leave and come home this summer. We were planning for his marriage. We are completely shattered,” his father told TOI. The entire locality where Kumar lived has plunged into grief after coming to know of his fate.

What Police Said?

TPS Inspector Errol Watson said the incident raised serious public safety concerns. “I can understand how a shooting like this, especially at a mall, can cause concern for the safety of the public,” he said, according to a TOI report.
Moreover, no arrests have been made so far, and the Toronto Police have launched a homicide investigation.

They are starting to get hated worldwide because of these reasons:

1) They are migrating in big numbers and changing demographics of other countries. Many of the migrations are also illegal in nature (lots of illegal Indians in various countries).
2) A lot of them are very self-centered/narcissists. They have bad manners and are incredibly obnoxious.
3) A lot of them engage in all sorts of unethical (and at times illegal) activities.
4) Modern day Indians are not humble like their previous generations. Previous generations of Indians were more humble and hardworking.
