Holding the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final in Dubai if India qualifies would be a 'blatant robbery' of Pakistan cricket fans' moment

PCB needs a surgery now. This is self inflicted humiliation, should have given up CT hosting rights with ghairat.

It's an interesting thing to imagine.

The current situation will suit those who hate Pakistan from the gut, regardless of the country's behaviour. And similarly the other side of haters too.

But if India had agreed to play in Pakistan and the same scenario played out with Pak being knocked out and India playing a final in Pak, I can imagine a big Pakistani crowd turning up and supporting Kohli and the Indian team. Even cheering them holding aloft a trophy on Pak soil. It would have been their Chennai moment. And suddenly, we'd have been awash with (perhaps unbearable) sentimentality and sweet talk for a while from both sides.

Pakistan deserves this humiliation. The loudmouths Naqvi and Shareef had to be taught a lesson.
Win or lose the final.. main mission is achieved. But the most happy will be ex-cricketers of Pakistan. More views for there youtube channel.

I am not sure Naqvi will be one bit worried lol He is going home rich due to this deal. Without this he would have been facing lawsuit.

Why should they have given up there right to host it, they where well in the rights to host it. India is to blame for this whole mess with there dirty politics

It is not dirty politics according to some posters India took their revenge for Mumbai attacks by shifting the final to Dubai. This is a big deal in India. let them enjoy it.

I mean this sort of stuff can’t be decided in a room by businessman.

You have to have a top team, a tournament contender team to pull it off and we did that because we had a championship team

No politics
Just a great cricket team that needs its flowers including from the Pakistani fans. Fans like King Khan bhai, Momin bhai , IAJ etc have all appreciated this team.

Exactly. It's more of a humiliation for the nation and Pakistan cricket fans with pride for their country. These 2 bit politicians don't care and will sell the nation without shame to line their own pockets
 
One has to feel for Pakistani fans but for PCB, they haven't been nice guys in Past either. Hopefully indo pak relationship changes for better soon in future and this kinda arrangements be avoided in future and fans are able to see these matches in Pakistan

Some fans were defending PCB in the ground construction thread. They have to realize PCB doesn't care about their fans.

From the view of Pakistani fans, yes hosting their tournament final in a foreign country is just non sense. The PCB didn't respect them enough. But from the PCB's administrative view, they had no other choice when the ICC/sponsors forced them go with the hybrid model. Their only hope was India to not to qualify for the final match. This is why I wished India to play in Pakistan or not play the CT at all.

They care about the money fans bring in.. that’s why Indian games are held in various cities across India so that youth in those cities don’t lose interest.

It’s disgusting and embarrassing really. Enjoy the moment and move on (only a handful of people like those on both sides bring shame for everyone else and ruin the good moments).
 
haven't read much of this thread but no surprise that we are discussing Mumbai 2008 stuff in here. Whoever planned that certainly got their money's worth and then some.

I genuinely feel majority of Pakistanis are not like this. But no doubt there are plenty of these idiotic animal mentality people in Pakistan who are dosgusting enough to talk jokingly about 26/11 those events ending in so many innocent people getting killed.

Statesmanship however must overlook such trolls.

If Bharat was in your hands I fear Pakistan would already be on the way to extinction. Luckily for the Pak military faithful, there are plenty of joshilas and shiv senas to keep them relevant.

Yes they do .... for example BCCI making PCB cry and pay for suiing them a few years ago in the MoU saga provided mucho free entertainment and now this. All hail BCCI the most badass cricket board :yahoo :cool: :bow:
 
Its sad Pakistan didn’t get to hold the final. What a mess cricket is. Dodgy politics. Its a sport go and play against your so called enemies and go beat them in their own ground! How come Pakistan went to 2023 world cup? Its madness in this day and age a nation holding such grudges and what not. Keep sport to sport only.

From now on any tournament Pakistan gets rights to hold but for some political reasons India wont go to Pakistan then Pakistan should demand Bangladesh as 2nd the alternative venue. It will be home away from home for Pakistan as vast majority BDeshi fans have always supported Pakistan especially when its played in Bangladesh. Never agree to Dubai.

But im also the same guy who will not think twice before going to war if it is war that my enemies chose.

I am mature enough to understand that Pakistan army and online trolls do not represent the average Pakistani. Them people have big hearts. They just unfortunate with the propaganda for decades

PCB and Pakistan Cricket fans should look at some positives. Pakistan hosted a few games of the CT and a major ICC event after almost 30 years. The PCB needs to use this as a stepping stone for future ICC events. There is a lot of work to do on our stadiums and cricketing infrastructure and we need to spread cricket to other stadiums especially the small towns and cities. The reliance on Karachi must end.

Very soon BCCI will adopt the same strategy against BD as well the way that country is going. Already all BD players are unofficially banned from this IPL.

Atleast with Pak, their game against India is still a massive money maker and widely followed. No one would bat an eye lid if BD is flushed our by BCCI in the same manner.

Abrar is a misguided youngster playing for a poorly structured cricketing set up. Not media trained. Wasim and hundreds of Pakistani cricketers have been around for decades in cricket and it’s only a handful like Abrar, Rashid, Tanveer, Hasan, Afridi who made stupid political statements. Read the names again and notice the pattern and the category of these players.

The fan who got kicked out. We don’t know the background story yet. Similar things have happened in Bharat. Trying waving a Pakistan flag in Feroz Shah Kotla stadium or Wankhede

As if he had a choice, BCCI was very clear along with the other ICC members and the ICC i.e. the CT can't happen without India, agree to the Hybrid model or the entire tournament gets shifted to UAE.

And trust me, the travelling khuari teams like South Africa, New Zealand and Australia have experienced along with the challenge of adjusting to the UAE conditions on short notice, these teams will not agree to the hybrid model that easily in the future which will make PCB's task of hosting an ICC event an impossibility.
