How economical can Jasprit Bumrah be by the end of his career?

Here are Jasprit Bumrah's current stats....

Test: Ave 21.89, econ 2.66
ODI: Ave 21.01, econ 4.44
T20I: Ave 20.47, econ 6.77

With the (reasonable) assumption that Jasprit Bumrah will finish his career at the age of 35, I predict his final economy rates to be...

Test: 2.49
ODI: 3.98
T20I: 6.27

It’s impossible for anyone to have an economy rate lower than 4 in this day and age.

I think his ODI economy rate will probably end up being around 4.8-5 by the time he retires.

india have finally found a proper reliable bowler.

i think the only thing standing in their way this world cup is pakistan

Lol.... Pakistan is the least of concern for us in WORLD CUP.

He will surely have one major back injury in his career how he returns from that will define his legacy has the potential to end as a top 5 sub cont pacer off all time

Will be the best bowler in 2019 WC. He just went to another level in the last 6 months. What's scary is he was already No.1 before this surge.

He can swing, seam the ball at 140+. Can bowl with new or old ball and is lethal at death. Perfect ODI bowler.

This kind of stuff was said about malinga and gul in their prime too.

If he ends up with an ER of less than 5 in ODI and 7 in T20, that is outstanding. A genuine strike bowler and the best overall format performer in world cricket currently.

:))

India just recently saw fast bowlers thus they are making ridiculous predictions.

We had such hopes from wahab riaz when he gave that performance in England.

He will have to maintain this form for a few more years. Still Early days to be considered a great.

Not too bad.

But overall, his effectiveness will drop as teams play him more and adapt.

No bowling culture.

Alot depends on his ability to nail the yorker. We all saw how Malinga went downhill after his yorker stopped being effective. With Bumrah it could be the same although he seems like a much better bowler. And even in these days he's bound to get tonked against good teams like England and New Zealand.

A good bowler but I want to see what happens when the novelty of his action wears off. Batsmen are still struggling to deal with the awkward bounce he gets.

Lol. Bounce is not a novelty. Everybody has seen him enough. He's skiddy and can move the ball at pace. He is improving at a rapid pace
