How many Pakistanis go/went clubbing in their uni/college days?

I don't understand how you can make the quantum leap from *the antics of some of the mirpuris* to *these people are ruining our reputation both pakistani and kashmiris*. I could show you Whites, Browns, Blacks, Punjabi Pakistanis, Punjabi Indians, Hindus, Sikhs, Gujratis, etc in West London, with the same antics, hanging out in gangs, in their hoods, acting like rude boys with all the bling, smoking the herb, showboating their cars and bass-lines.

Perhaps the reputation you speak is more communal to where you live, but if you are talking about nationwide reputation of Pakistanis in the UK, then its not down to a bunch of teenagers who were refused entry for not adhering to a dress-code, it's down to something far greater - [a subject not relevant to this thread but I will give you a clue : 9/11].

By the way, I am not a Mirpuri,
You seem confused.
How can black, whites etc ruin pakistani/ kashmiri reputation?
Mirpuris for some strange reason are classified as pakistanis in the uk, even though pakistan has only 4 provinces and kashmir is not one of them.
Anyway, i am digressing, the vast majority of crimes committed in the uk by so called "pakistanis", is committed by mirpuris.
Hence why i am saying SOME mirpuris, not all, are ruining OUR reputation in the uk.
This brother can assist you if you are still unclear PakLFC

You are the one confused. I never said Black, Whites etc ruin Pakistani reputation. Read my words carefully because I was quoting you. You claimed the antics of some of the mirpuris are ruining the reputation of both Pakistani and Kashmiris. I was merely pointing out the antics you refer to are not exclusive to Mirpuris/Pakistanis, but to every race, colour, and creed in the UK. You should know, you've been around, though surprisingly you have never once mentioned Bradford or Leeds.

Again you are missing my point.
Let me repeat myself, but i will try to be more clear.
I am not interested in what other communities do, i am interested in the reputation of my community pakistani/kashmiri community.
And a significant portion of mirpuris are dragging our name through the mud with their criminal activity.
Again, let me say, i am not bothered about other communities, thats their problem, this is OUR problem!

I told you i went to a club in bradford in the other thread. I have been to both leeds and bradford, didnt like either place. I went out with a girl fom bradford back in the day, for a little while, so use to drive ffrom manchester to bradford and pick her up and get out of there quick time as bradford is like mirpuri big brother, everyone knows everyone there and everyone is spying on you, well it was like that then, dont know about now. And yes the girl was a mirpuri.

I moved to London for uni and went to a club three times because other students kept asking. Was a bit pointless because I didn't drink but I'm glad I got to see what a rubbish lifestyle it is. In a weird way it made my faith stronger
Good Post and similar to my experienc, but I was always near enough Londoner living in Hertfordshire.

I don't see the point. You're in a hot venue, with ear-piercing music surrounded by sweaty, drunk people. Sounds disgusting really.

Interesting thread. Alot of the folks who preech righteousness were party bois.

How would you guys view such life style if it were in Pakistan?

Enjoyed going to concerts but can count clubbing on one hand.

Never interested me going into an environment with sharabis and druggies.

In fact, growing up its was something the more coconut guys would do.

It's all about the context I reckon.

Never been to a club in my life but I am aware guys go for the buzz, without drinking alcohol and not engaging in any forbidden activity other than being there which granted, isn't without sin.

Never interested me. Think it's only the coconut asians that do as well as the asian 'badboy' wannabes.

Pretty judgmental of you, replying coz you said Asians.
I never did it in Uni/college but i went later in 30s and I found it to be fun, ofcourse it’s not for everyone and having a group helps to have fun.

It depends on what your interests are obviously but hanging out with college friends and having a night out is a great life experience that most people look back at fondly.

I wonder how many of today's Pakistanis even know that in the 1960s and 70s, Karachi had a terrific nightclub scene, rivaling that of Mumbai and also those of many western cities. Karachi was a hippie hub back then, complete with drugs and freely flowing booze.

It all changed in the late 1970s under Gen. Zia.

Drugs from what I hear and read is still easily available in Karachi. It’s probably not in the same
urban setting like a nightclub anymore.

Most if not all narcotics that come into India are via Pakistan.

Never been to a nightclub. Alhamdulillah. Was never attracted to that lifestyle (partying, clubbing, getting girl etc.).

My college/university life was all about cricket and studies. I was playing club cricket. Good times.

strangely i have never been clubbing in the UK, only abroad, its great fun for about an hour, then it just gets boring unless u avail chemical stimulation. this may be down to the fact that I'm a rubbish dancer, altho my lack of any shame means I'm always the one dragged onto the dancefloor at events if no one is dancing.

Batter, bowler?..

Most of Pakistan's political elite were renowned part animals embroiled in debauchery, especially those educated in Britain.

I suppose the question is can you go clubbing as a social excercise 'ethically'; not drinking, doing the devil's sins. Ultimately, the environment is Haram and no good can come of it.

I played from 2010 to 2015. Started off as an opener but was too slow like Wajhatullah Wasti. So, they dropped me down the order. I eventually became a spinner who could hang around with the bat. LOL.

I have never found clubbing exciting. It was probably due to my introverted nature.

Either way, I think going to club is risky even if you don't drink and do haram things. There are too many temptations. Better to avoid. I would rather hang around in a park or something.
