Steve Smith (NSW/Sutherland Cricket Club)
Mitchell Starc (NSW/Manly Warringah Cricket Club)
Marcus Stoinis (WA/Subiaco Floreat Cricket Club)
Adam Zampa (NSW/Sutherland Cricket Club)

Chair of Selectors George Bailey said:

“This is a balanced and experienced squad with the core having been involved in the previous one-day World Cup, the West Indies series, last year’s successful tour of the UK and the more recent Pakistan home series.

“It offers a variety of options for touring management depending on opposition and the conditions that may present in Pakistan.”

The squad will assemble, prepare and play an ODI in Sri Lanka following the upcoming Test series before heading to Pakistan for the group stage of the Champion’s Trophy.

NB: The squad is preliminary under ICC regulations and may be changed pending squad requirements/injuries until the commencement of the tournament.

Ellis and Stoinis are rubbish. Maxwell and Starc haven't looked anywhere near their best and are, most likely, finished.

Maxwell is never going to dropped and that's too in subcontinent.

He is getting back to the form . recently scored 90 odd runs in BBL game .

If Cummins is not gonna play than Nathan Ellis will replace him not a batsman .

Head
Short
Marsh
Smith
Maxi
Carey
Hardie/ Stonish
Nathan Ellis/ Cummins
Hazelwood
Starc
Zampa

BBL form cannot predict ODI form. Maxwell is pretty much finished .

My team has Cummins

Solid experienced squad from the Aussies looking to cover most bases.

Short of quality spin options Head, maxi and short will likely bowl and that will be a weak link to attack.

An ageing side and I don't see them going far this tournament. Starc, Cummins and Hazelwood should not play white ball cricket together anymore. They should have rope in some new bloods.

If they have sam konstas , a ftb with out much technique, as test opener i don't think they have much talent left.i guess it's one last attempt for ageing team.smith, marnus are almost washed up. Marsh is another great ftb with out even foot movement.

Maxwell is always perform in Big matches Plus he is way better spin bowler now .

He can can give Australia 6-7 over easily .

Your team has only two quality pacer - Cummins and Hazelwood.

No balance at all .

Australia often play that extra batting balance

They played that balance in England a few months ago
That series where Cummins was not available and Starc, Hazlewood didn't play all matches .

In 3rd and 4th odi They played Starc , Hazlewood and sean abbot trio together.

Australia is always play three quality pacers

Sean Abbott averages 40 with the ball. Quality pacer ?

He is not but australia didn't have much options at that time.

Most of players were injured.

Tell me when was the last time australia just played with only 2 frontline pacer in any ICC tournaments ?
