Pakistan can win tommorrow but I am 100% certain the selection mistakes will prevent them.

Save this prediction and serve it to me with some humble pie if I am wrong:

Mistake number 1 : Imad will start in place of Fahim. His left arm lollipops will be feasted on. You can't contain the Indians on a 300+ pitch. His batting is toothless and lacks any purpose.

Mistake number 2: Hafeez is a sure start. His bowling will be negated by the pitch. When he steps onto the crease to bat he is going to fill the Indians with confidence. Poor Haaris my sympathies are with him while he sits out and watches Hafeez getting mauled by Kumar and co. On the plus side Hafeez is building a strong case for getting dropped for good.

Mistake number 3: The batting order is poo. Our best middle order bats that can rotate the strike come in too late. Sarfaraz and Shoaib need to take some responsibility and move up the order AHEAD of Azam. This won't happen ofcourse.

He seems to have cemented his place in the team but he is a very limited bowler but seems to be a stong personality within the team and has the ear of Mickey Arthur which means he gets in the team.

There is huge difference between 250 and 280 for Pakistan team.

250 will be easy. They chased 237 and looked well set against England to chase 250 as well. 280 and things will get tricky unless Fakhar fires again. But even then later batsman will have to score singles every over and can't afford to see some overs to settle down after fall of wicket like in previous 3 games. This mean extra pressure and we all know how our batting cope with it when asked to score quickly.

Imo they needed to stick with Rumman in place of Amir, but that would've required lots of guts on part of the management. However, we still got Imad being dropped, so that's a huge plus. And I agree, we need four strike bowlers. Shadab has to play, an attacking leggie could very well be the difference. His batting is pretty decent as well (as good as Immad with far better hitting capabilities) and not to mention he is an excellent fielder. Meanwhile Immad will try his best to dive over the ball and gift a couple where there is a single run.

Imad bowled 5 overs for 16 runs @3.20 per over. This will apply pressure and strangle the Indian batsmen, forcing them to play shots, which will increase the chances of taking wickets.
Imad is best suited to batting at the death, so if our other batsmen play their role, Imad will be invaluable.
I honestly don't see how Shadab remains in the team ahead of Imad. I like Shadab, but at the moment he isn't consistent enough. He bowls too many loose deliveries. His batting also doesn't compare to Imad's in my opinion. Yes, Shadab took one wicket while Imad didn't get any in the last game, but that's only going by one game - Imad is usually more successful.
I really hope that Imad is retained if only one of the two are selected.

In any case, go Pakistan! Inshallah we bring it home!
