WTH and *** to coaching and management of Pak u19. What values they are trying to instill? That just do stat pad and not worry about anything else?
They don’t have the skill to chase this down, forget about going at it in 33 overs on this pitch which is staying low.

Skill is another things but honestly they should have tried in powerplay. They didn't showed any urgency.

You can out by playing big shots on boundary and no one criticized them because it was need of hour.

:kp

For Pakistan
Subhan,Minhas ,Sayim,Ali Raza
Should work hard their skill to succeed and rest should focus on studies and choose some other career early on.

This is basically Mohsin Naqvi trolling India

Everyone expected a high flying Pakistam going for it - instead Naqvi asked them to go slow & BOYCOTT the rest of the tournament to imflict heavy losses on broadcasters & sponsors

U know ICC & BCCI cant do anything without PCB !
You are next level .... aur koi Konspiracy theory ?

They Just now announced that they are not playing the 15 Feb game against India. :klopp :kp

What is the purpose of this innings from Pakistan? Shouldn't they go down going after scoring in 33 overs instead of trying to win in 50 overs

And now they want to intentionally lose to dampen the rivalry. What a masterstroke from Mohsin Naqvi. 😝

Keep in mind that such mentality carries onwards to when they are in the senior team. Playing for milestones or meaningless things is not a habit you want youngsters to develop.

The habit should be, try for win no matter what.

You are teaching them a habit of - if it's tough, don't try and just give up.
If you have not played u19 cricket, than you and me are no one to be talking about their habits.

U19 cricket is raw form of cricket where boys are selected based of u19 performance. Sena countries often tell their teams to go out and enjoy the tournament and matches. Dont care or worry too much about winning the tournament, as the main goal is to develop and mature as cricketers and to become professional cricketers (meaning earn from it as a profession).

I have nothing bad to say about the indian u19, and i hope those young kids do win. Because what matters is how they develop and how they compete in international cricket.

Akbar Ali won it for bangladesh, Azeem Ghuman lead pakistan to the finals. But at the end those guys never developed.

Winning or losing an u19 tournament does not determine habits. Its just a group of kids that get some limelight and are than developed after this tournament.

Take Suryavanshi for example, guy threw his wicket away in a very important game here. But i wouldnt bash him cause i would like to see how Indian management will develop this guy and what he ends up becoming inn the next 3 years.

Bro I’m disappointed with Pakistan teams attitude today/ it was off from ball 1 of this chase/

8 down.

Bro Pakistan made a mess of this.

They’re losing this now surely

Yes, Qamar means moon. Qamaruddin means moon(light) of the religion.
I see . The family I referred to truncated their Grandfathers name & affixed it as last name because they thought '' Multani '' was not very cool . They have nothing to with Multan btw .
184/8

Not very easy at the Under 19 age level to manage a sex at this huge ground. Only someone with great stamina and strength can pull it off.
Not cool, bhaijaan. This isn’t something that should come out of a Sanatani’s mouth.

bizarre from Pak, if they were all out for a 100 runs trying to go for it, that would be a better life lesson for these kids than this approach.

Also this is the most auraless Indian u-19 team I have seen in a while regardless of the results 🤦‍♂️

@Major where are you hiding, aye the 33.3 main chase karne yha 50 over m ni banre. Isliye bola tha ki pakistan always celebrate top early.
They never learnt from teh history 🤡🤡🤡

:klopp :kp

Yes, they would have got less blame if they tried and failed. Bizzare approach and didn't even win in the end.

Too much defensive approach cost Pakistan this game.... some former pak players said winning against India is bigger than world cup win....

This approach reflects a deeper mindset issue in Pakistan cricket. The fear of losing often outweighs the intent to win. Instead of finishing a chase in 33 overs the team prefers dragging it to 50 overs and then celebrating merely beating India.I don’t see Sarfraz as a strong strategic leader this defensive, loser mentality seems to have seeped into the U-19 setup as well. In this squad, only Subhan, Raza, Sameer, Farhan, and Sayeem look like genuine long term prospects. The rest may need to reassess their future in professional cricket

Vaibhav having a go at Baloch guy as if he is sure that Baloch guy will never represent pak and will not see him again.seems baloch may have given him an earful earlier.

As a cricket fan, I really wanted to listen to what the captain of Pakistan would have to say after a very poor shot at chasing today against India. Neither they played for qualification, nor won the match in the end. For all the talent in that side they should be disappointed at the sorry show they put up today. But the captain came to the presentation ceremony and said “Result doesn’t matter, I really proud of my boys.”

Goes to show the low IQ that stil is a problem in Pakistan cricket despite the talent and the mentality some of these boys will be taking to seniors team in the future.

U19, domestic or international, if you are playing competitive cricket you are playing to win. If not then you shouldn’t be playing at all. In a tournament all that matters is trying to progress. No cricketer would want to win a meaningless match over qualification, more so younger cricketers. What happened was purely political and instigated by the team management. They weren’t, at any stage trying to go for qualification. Do you really believe Pakistan would have played the same way if they had been playing a different opposition? They slowed down deliberately against Zimbabwe to help their qualification and here they don’t even make an attempt.

What are we teaching these youngsters by this? That winning against one team is more important than everything else. The same mindset that has plagued us for decades. Instead wouldn’t it be better if they are told to play freely regardless of opposition.

Agreed. Same applies even if you’re playing gully cricket.

Well done India you made my day!

Hard luck Pakistan, well played.

These are kids, can we keep the crap talking for the senior teams?

I think overall game was played in good spirits from whatever little i saw. Not sure there were nay onfield aggression that spilled over. These events are all about finding future potentials. Nothing more. Pakistan has some potentials in this line up. This Raza is over-rated. Shuban looks like a decent prospect. The left arm has some spark.

What the hell happened? Pak were cruising at 130 odd for 2 wickets…… to be bundled out for 194…

What a massive choke.:mv

Such a clean victory and entry into the next round. No NRR nonsense. Just beat PAK comprehensively.

Format of the World Cup clearly didn't matter .

PAK were never making semis anyway.

Congrats to our kids on beating these grown men :inti
