Did anyone else notice the post game sledge Ishan gave Shaheen?
It will be a better idea to boycott SF in that case.Koi nhi Agha jee we fully back you. We'll get them in the semis
Yeah, I get that feeling too. Agha looked under severe pressure today. In the post match , he admitted that conditions actually got better for batting in the 2nd innings and even tracking data suggested that (turn was significantly less in the 2nd innings)
This was a huge skills gap today but it doesn't help when these players are playing under such pressure. Execution was not good enough.
You are amazing bro, keep it upPitch seems flat.
I think 160-170 can be chased down easily.
I saw Nawaz kinda escaped as SKY is not that great against left arm spinners. He faced mostly. Also Dube was not set at that time. Kishan would have made his figures a lot worse. Saim and Tariq turned the ball they bowled in the range of 75 kph as ball gripped and turned square like 4th ro 5th day wicket. If INdia had played Washi in place of Rinku they could have posed far more problemsOf the Pakistani bowling, the spinners were actually decent, namely Saim, Usman and Nawaz. That part worked.
I'm talking from a general sense in regards to what the intent should be. In the case of this team the balance is definitely not there. I said this before the start of the tournament aswell when everyone wanted all of Pakistan's spinners to play in the same match. One plus of this hammering might be that they can finally drop one spinner in Abrar or Nawaz. Also, all of these all-rounders are not the same. Agha is not really an all-rounder, Saim is a top-order batsman so his bowling is an added plus. Whereas Shaheen is the textbook definition of a blind slogger. But batting/bowling balance have to be there.
Shadab - all rounder,
Nawaz all roudner,
Saim - all rounder
Agha - semi all rounder,
Faheem - all rounder,
Shaheen - quarter all rounder.
I am sure shaheen is preferred for his batting skill as well. Only guys who don't bowl are Farhan, Babar and keeper. If you pick all rounders the problem is when they practice what would they practice bowling or batting?
Not gonna defend the players after yet another shambolic performance but feels like alot of unnecessary pressure is put on them where they are told that whatever you do you can't lose to India. Even in the U-19 World Cup we saw he youngsters completely disregard qualification to the semis in favor of trying to beat India. And all this does is increase the probability of them losing to India
This. Some will say Agha had to accommodate all the different parchis in the xi. Responsibility for selecting an un-balanced xi lies with Agha-Hesson duo.But batting/bowling balance have to be there.

We don’t know if he saw the match in Jail
Agha yes but I would still continue with Ayub Personally for the time being. Yes Agha for sure as well& Agha Ayub
They will get dumped by this Indian team too.Am I the only who thinks Noman Ali or Sajid Khan should be in the team?
Specialist spinners are needed.

The batting unit that played for us, even on paper looked incapable of beating ind on any given day, the performance that followed reflected that fundamental reality.Pathetic disgusting shameful , no other words to describe Pakistans performance
I can understand to an extent. Because I have the same outlook and have seen Pakistan lose some Test matches that really hurt. Most recent one probably the Centurion test against South Africa. But I can understand how it can be worse when you are used to seeing your team perform so well most of the time.Oh intellectually I agree but losing a test not to mention a test series at home hits you in the gut. These T20 games are just fun appetizers. This is the first game I've watched in this World Cup and I can assure you even a loss here would've been a mild annoyance at best.
My main fear in this World Cup is that a victory will extend Gambhir's tenure as a Test coach.
My wife was actually taunting me about this - apparently I make fun of her for watching Korean dramas but this game is my equivalent. This is why Indians pay so much for this game. It's our men's version of a Saans-Bahu soap - given you mild tension but very predictable and enjoyable in the end.
Meh, it’s fine. I made peace with what this team is a long time ago. Life is about accepting that not everything you invest in will return the way you hoped. I just try not to let this team spoil my love for the sport itself, which is played by many more teams. My commiserations to sincere pak fans like u who deserve a better team or atleast a guys who fight better or show better skills
