It will need a miracle for Kiwis to win this from here.

I don't think cricket will get popular ever in Canada, USA, etc. other than among the immigrant population.
The ICC would be better off concentrating on the likes of Ireland, Afghanistan, Nepal, etc. where there is a great potential for growth.
These kids are picked up from U19 domestic tournaments. These tournaments gauges the quality of the players in the pipeline. And even if the opposition are over 20, you expect the top sides to beat them.
Also these are great oppurtunity to these youngsters, the feeling of playing in a world tourney
Proud of this tbh, guys are fighting hard
The Black Caps shouldn't show their faces on Sunday after this defeat.NZ should give up Cricket.
Agreed.Nz sucks
Sarfaraz Khan bowling legspin ! Wasn't this guy an offspinner two years ago ?
Not a great tournament so far for the minnows
Wow didn't that statement hurt Nepal or what??

A few PPers taking delight in our kids getting beat![]()
What are you on about? Didn't BD beat SA yesterday and Nepal are on their way to beating NZ
if nepal wins today Bangladesh will most likely be facing Nepal in the quarters![]()
Sarfaraz doesn't look U19 to me.
I just checked the equation Group A will play against Group B so it would be either Pakistan or Sri Lanka barring an upset
lol you'd expect that from kids who have never played in the SC before.Ideally! 4 groups of 4 is what the real world cup should be, but we know it's a risky format because of India and money implications. 10 team single group world cup isn't that bad either: it will show who are the strongest and weakest one-day sides amongst the 10 sides.
Congrats to Nepal. A lot of people were rating New Zealand. New Zealand are masters at home, but rubbish away.
Winner of Group A will be playing runner-up of group D.

Sarfaraz seems to be at an age where his metabolism has slowed down naturally. The image below is when he actually looked U19, and I don't see weight to be a problem there.

Nope. winner of grp A will be playing against the runner up of B
This image is of Pradeep sangwan.
So Bangla/Pak QF on cards?
I see. It came up when I searched for Sarfaraz, and he actually looks kinda similar.
It's a 7 years old pic.

If Pak loses to Sri lanka in group match.

Srilanka did beat us quite badly recently, they are stronger than us
This can not be Sarfraz?
The sad thing is this win is meaningless.Nepal have also beaten NZ before in U19 WC (2006) and that team had likes of Guptill, southee, munro, bennett etc.
He is not. I put Sangwan's image mistakenly.
\In Wikipedia it's written Group A will play Group B
Kohli and Sangwan were in the U-19 which won the WC ,sad Sangwan could never make it big ,always hanging around with his high society buddies.

Look at where they have come since that win in 2006, I expect nothing different from this one.
The ICC don't give them a chance.
He was quite sharp back then. Used to bowl 135+ kph
IIRC, he also was banned recently for some drug (failed dope test in IPL) related issue.
