Tomorrow is a big day for Pakistan and Bangladesh.
If England loses their chances will definitely increase for them to go to the semis.
Expect a cracker of a match tomorrow!
If Pakistan wins the next 3 games, they are very likely to qualify to semis. England, newzealand and Australia all have tough games ahead of them and one of them will falter.
Just have to beat NZ then it should be plain sailing for us.
Australia can lose all their remaining matches and miss out on the semis. That way, India, England, New Zealand and Pakistan can make the semis which will make most people happy. No one wants to risk seeing the Aussies win ANOTHER World Cup, except the Aussies themselves. Also, cheats like Smith and Warner do not deserve to get a sniff of that trophy.

The Pakistan scenario:
Beat NZ, Afg and BD, and hope that India do them a favour![]()
Gents I'm a little bit worried. BBC forecast showing violent rain from 7am until midday. A washout would be an absolute disaster for us and maybe the perfect outcome for Aus and Eng.
Our NRR is good, we would need to get smashed in all 3 games and Pakistan will need to win big in there's to qualify ahead of us on NRR.If Pakistan wins the next 3 games, they are very likely to qualify to semis. Could it be a case of careful what you wish for? We could qualify as #4 and face India potentially in semifinal. Our team is just not good enough to beat them. But still I am hoping we make semis.

1 thing people are forgetting which I myself didnt even notice, is that wins, not NRR, is the first tiebreaker in the event teams are level on points. So if England lose every other game, for example, and SL win 1 more and both end up on 8, England will qualify as they have 1 more win, even if their NRR is significantly weaker.
With that in mind I think only Bangladesh can challenge now, but they really need a favour from Australia, because if the Aussies lose that game BD will need two wins to even have a chance. If England win tomorrow you'd feel they've done enough.

I thought us weaker teams had no chance???
You can thank the lankans for opening up the pandora's box. All is alive except AFG/SA. No one has made it to the semi final (100% yet). NZ being very close.
ENG is in most danger of getting the boot. Losses to SL/PAK did not help their cause either. They played their easiest games well ahead of anyone. Now their toughest 3 games await. Both SL and PAK showed that england are chockers when chasing. Aussie bowling/batting are far superior to both mentioned before. Grab onto your seat for tomorrow's match and hope England takes a loss. If not, it becomes evidently harder for PAK/SL/BD and even WI to stay alive in this year's WC.
I disagree. It is far more likely that Australia lose all their games. England only lose against Sri Lanka because they took them lightly. They'll be completely focused tomorrow and the Aussies might very well get a beating they won't recover from.
NZ getting underrated in this thread, they’re a good team IMO.
England will become by far the most vulnerable of the “top” teams if they fail to beat Australia.
RE weather, forecast looks fine from 10 today so we will get a full game.
Is rain predicted for any games?A combination of washouts and unexpected defeats for India and England will help out the lower teams big time.
Yes being hit wicket, dropping catches is luckyNz have been lucky in this tournament.
They have deluded well all the fans. I don't think they are looking like a team which will win the wc

Pakistan have very high peaks and very extreme lows in my opinion.
We beat the top contenders England and lost to West Indies.
The 2nd team we beat is probably going to be 2nd bottom from the table.
I am surprised fans are expecting easy wins against NZ and Bangladesh considering these teams are in upper half of the table.
Pakistan has its work cut out in both games to win somehow.
NZ will be confirmed for the Semis if they win their next match. If both India and New Zealand win their next games are their semi final spots 100 % confirmed regardless of what happens in other matches?

India will need 1 more point to ensure qualification. 11 can get them through on NRR.
You have 4 games left and only need 2 wins to ensure it. 11 points should get through on NRR provided you don't get smashed in the rest of the games.Thanks. I hope that the washed out game against Nz doesn't come back to bite us.

India's problem is not qualifying for semis. Their problem is they will either face England or Pakistan in Semi Final & Australia in final.
Exactly eveyone keeps talking about NRR but it's in fact the number of wins they look at first your right if their tied at that than its net run rate and if that case their tied than head to head
It would take a miracle for Australia to not qualify as they are a top pressure team.
No team would fancy facing Australia in semis or finals.
I know this is the reason everybody wants them out.
Now I am starting to believe Pakistan will be the 4th team to qualify for the semis.Mike Atherton "If Pakistan can tomorrow do what nobody else has done so far in this tournament & beat New Zealand, that would put the cat amongst the pigeons if England don't win today"
Now I am starting to believe Pakistan will be the 4th team to qualify for the semis.
All this optimism just because Pakistan beat a team whose only win was against Afghanistan? Pakistan have no chance against New Zealand. Bangladesh game is 50-50.

India on 7th. Ye kuch ziada nahin ho gaya?
Aus vs Pak and India vs NZ.
Aus vs Pak and India vs NZ.
Pak vs India final.
Once again.
3 spots to grab.
India, NZ, England, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the race.
Who will be the remaining semi finalists?
Tick tock tick tock.
India and NZ are pretty much through to the semis. It will take a monumental screw up if they didn't qualify.
It basically comes down to England, SL, BAN, and PAK targeting the 4th-semi spot.
Pakistan wins all their matches and if England loses one more, Pakistan will be through.
Pakistan the type of team that can beat NZ and lose to both AFG and BAN.
Of the 3 left to play, Bangladesh worry me the most as opponents.
I want revenge of 99 final & famous streak in back to back matches.
