ICC World Cup 2023: India (274/6) defeat New Zealand (273 all out) by 4 wickets

Daryl Mitchell is the most improved cricketer in the last 18 months. Very underrated. Has grown in stature and Takes responsibility all the time. Has become the backbone of NZ's middle order. Can shift gears effortlessly.

Daryl Mitchell along with Devon Conway are equally good in all three formats of the game. Both are so underrated, especially Mitchell as he don't play IPL.

Wait and watch .this is our world cup .only threat is England but they are not reaching to semifinals.
How is England a threat lol? Their playing with a has been team just like aus.

Sa, NZ and India are the strongest in the tournament. In terms of strength its

India > NZ > SA

But India and SA carry the choke tag, NZ doesn't. NZ does carry the worlds worst luck tag though

Watch today kuldeep will get whacked I told yesterday Zampa is better , Kuldeep is bit hyped but no one was believing

No chance .we are going to win this time
20 overs of spin by NZ which will decide the outcome of the match. If India survive the initial PP with minimal damaga then I dont see rachin, Chapman, Glenn doing much damage apart from santner.

After 19 overs, New Zealand is 90/2. Good partnership building between Rachin and Mitchell.

Looks like they’ve made the decision to target the spin.. guess this is where India might just miss the extra bowling options they have with Hardik in the team and Hardik accommodating Thakur

Feels like Daryl Mitchell doesn’t get talked much in discussion about great ODI batsmen but he’s complete class

You will not understand .wait and watch when Pakistan play against England .
England on their day can destroy any team . they are playing wrong line up and butler Captioncy is like Babar Azam .
But as an Indian fan I'm happy that they are not reaching in semi .

Hope our 5 bowler strategy wont backfire.
i posted before toss that Ash for kulli and shami for thakur wouldhave been better.
I suppose team mgmt feel whatever they score we will hunt it down.
Just need string together dots and field like maniacs.
Can't still believe Jadzaaa put that one down!

In terms of proper team ranking this tournament its

1) India
2) NZ
3) SA
4) Aus
5) England
6) Pakistan
7) Sri Lanka
8) Afghanistan
9) Bangladesh
10) Nedtherlands

Don't quote me on Nedtherlands beating sa and afg beating England. Weaker teams can beat stronger teams but this is the definitive ranking lol.

Yes we need to survive first 5 over .then we can Chase anything close to 300

You must be kidding me. NZ lost 2 consecutive WC finals. 1 SF and Finals apeice in t20 WCs but they are not chokers? India loses in semis and becomes chokers. I think all 3 teams are not able to take the final leap in Knockouts.

Who is India’s sixth bowler? Might need him today

England is > Pakistan I agree. Brother why would I take offence to you saying eng > Pakistan 😂😂. I ain't delusional like others.

But England need toothless bowling like pakistan's to bazzball 😭.

Their getting cremated by NZ, Sa and India lol even aus if stark, Hazelwood and zampa are on song that day.

One thing is that New Zealand massively outperform what’s expected them in every tournament. Outside of tournaments they’re one of those mid level teams yet they always find themselves in the final or semi final.

Good to see Kuldeep getting pumped, but I want an Indian win for Pak chances.

Great shots, well played both of them.

I want them to put India under pressure before the knockout stage, much needed for the preparation ahead !!

Kuldeep will be targeted from now on.

If he gets attacked he goes into a shell.
Mentally fragile player.

This is nothing but think tank work of NZ. They know India has only 5 bowlers. They have been told to take atleast one bowler.

Rohit carrying a lot of weight.
Yeah.
does'nt look like he turned down too many 2nd helpings of Vada Pav, Mumbai ragda-pattis or Pune Sev-Missal in the off time before the WC :)...

but he takes catches, is switched on when captaining and sends some wowitzers into the crowd - which matters than looking chiselled and being a dud....

Feel that this is so true of many spinners, if you put them on the back foot you can dominate them. But if you let them settle they will cut the run rate and choke your team to death until you get a ball that does something a bit different and gets the wicket.

What a big difference.
Other teams go into shell after 2 wickets and play defensive cricket. These guys are just charging down the track and hitting sixes.

Calm down bro lol, read what I said.

NZ carries the worlds worst luck tag, and only really chocked in 2015.

India chocking is a tradition. In 2017 despite 4 early breakthroughs, they could have recovered against Pakistan but Dhoni got out on a nothing delivery, Pandya's nonsense run out, Bumrah's no ball etc.

Same with their semi final against West indies in the t20 world cup, ashwin was the pinnacle of chocking that day.

Kohli chocked against England last year. 50 of 44 was a horrible innings and india's fielding was beyond hilarious when Hales and butler were butchering them lol.

NZ loses but thats not a chock, what happened in 2019 wasn't a chock, its the epitome of bad luck. Only one catch going for a 6 was the chock, NZ shpuld have won that, no one could have predicted the defelection lol

Maybe the extra weight helps him pull the ball for 6… still never seen anything like his pull shot, pure brutality

I agree that they become a completely diufferent team in multi team events but are still not able to take the last step towards the holy grail just like India fails in semis or finals. Both are chokers is my point.

They are attacking kuldeep but no worry he will take 2 wicket
No he won't. He goes into a shell as soon as he is attacked.
Brainless Pakistan batsmen can't play attacking shots. Sa and nz look ok on flat pattas vs spin.

Rachin is here to stay. Seriously good batting approach.
A technique suited to modern game

And what happened in 2021 & 2022 WCs?

I don't like Herschelle gibbs type of premature celebration and fielding medal cringe. I believe jadeja dropped the catch out of over excitement and fielding medal drama. Put your head down and concentrate on your work. I hope he gets thrown under the bus by Rohit if we lose this today.

I think you're just start watching cricket .any bowler can go run for one of the match .
I think Indians themselves have no idea about what type of bowler kuldeep is.

Bhaiyya this isn't the first time I have seen him get blasted. Many times. Even in 2019. Moment he gets attacked he cowers and goes into a shell.

So many 2s are being taken. I thought this is a relatively smaller ground like Chinnaswamy and wankhede. No wonder Kohli has a avg of over 100 on this ground.
