ICC World Cup 2023: India (274/6) defeat New Zealand (273 all out) by 4 wickets

This worldcup has seen one of the poorest umpiring. This looked outside leg on real time. Probably umpire thought he would give India a breakthrough with a marginal umpires call

India chocking lol, NZ a mental block for india every world cup

Mental midget. Mentally weak attitude.
Mental block
All are real. This is real.

India losing the plot haha

After 30 overs, New Zeland is 147/2. Some good shots and dropped catches proving beneficial for Kiwis here.

According to an excellent analysis by Wasim Akram, only India and NZ are playing proper 50 over cricket in this tournament. All others are slopping around in T20 mode and losing their way.

I think Bumrah and Shami will be able to get this under controls still when they return. If they can’t then a really high score is truly on

Lol loldeep hahahahh

Loldeep got brutally dispatched.

Like I said. Once he gets attacked he gets obliterated. He goes into a shell.

with India in a comfortable position in the points table i would want them to chase a total over 325 to get used to chasing huge totals considering they have chased modest totals so far.

This is good proactive batting - punishing the drops aswell.

Beautiful batting

Batting masterclass against Kuldeep. Use the crease well, stepped up when needed whereas Pakistani batsmen batted like cowards against Kuldeep.

If panyda was here maybe india would have had a few more wickets.

Loldeep haha.

Rohits face priceless. Gets flustered so easy. Need more vada pav?

Proper batsman is Daryl Mitchell

He turns up for NZ in icc tournaments!

Everyone was trolling about Rauf’s century being on, seems Kuldeep’s century could be on today!

Masterful stuff - taking India’s main weapon out

NZ has always been a world class team and always goes underrated in every cup.

Their the mentally strongest team, the smartest team and 2nd Strongest on paper behind India.

World class unit and extremely balanced. They don't collapse if you drop their catches, they'll make you pay.

This is why their my favourite team and always in my fantasy league

Haha priceless. Rohit. So frustrated. You ever see Latham or Kane get frustrated? Lol.

Indian batsmen will finally be tested, will be a great test. Chase master Kohli vs Kiwis

Honestly I may have to take back some of my words.. Indian bowling did create some chances but fielding has failed to take advantage of it

Pakistan was in similar positon but that partneship had literally zero momentum. and it was like pressure was always on this is why sixes are important in partneships it eases the pressure

Yup, the same way umpire saved babar from kuldeep the other day, just so he could statpad to a rare 50 against india.

Pakistan was cruising, the issue is the middle order collapsed. New Zealand’s middle order won’t collapse.

No they played singles and dots alot they didn’t attack bowlers instead waited for just bad bowls

They batted like kitten against spin, no stepping up against spin, stayed inside the crease. Completely different approach to Kiwis

Completes Jadeja's quota of overs within 30 overs of the innings. Great captaincy by Rohit

Rachin Ravindra (74*) and Daryl Mitchell (69*) have put on a wonderful stand for the third wicket to lay a great platform for New Zealand to accelerate and post a testing target.

New Zealand 167/2 (32 ov)

India has nothing to lose here. India can take it easy in 10 overs and see how it goes. NZ is going in at 5.26. For 32 overs going at this rate is not hard. Let us not forget NZ has even more woeful back up bowlers.

They were so timid.. that they had almost the exact same score that New Zealand had by the 30th over before the collapse happened.

Thing is Indian batsmen can't survive vs boult and Henry. If they break the backbone of top 3 then it's over.

People need to stop being happy/sad (depends on whether you're a pak/ind fan) NZ are still just 167-2 after 32 overs on a deck that has not too many demons and short boundaries. Let both sides complete batting and then we'll reserve our judgement.

Lol Kuldeep is not even hard to play. Attack that guy and he cowers like a coward.

And Babar and Rizwan's SRs - both NZers are still batting at less than 100SR and that's with a plethora of boundaries, including forcefully hit boundaries.
People are too infatuated with the Baz ball type approach. Against bowling sometimes you need to play quality cricket where you accelerate through the innings.

Mental block as soon as they face nz they drop catches too loool. At the too level, mental fortitude can take you a long way.

I do think that whilst they batted well, they did allow pressure to build on themselves which transferred to the incoming batters.

That said, it wasn't as bad as everyone made out. The new batters bad a platform to work with - they were also responsible for falling apart.
