knock outs are different ball game . you won't see more than 290-300 in semis/finals.

Indian think tank must be ruing the fact they will be missing services of Ashwin on this track over one of their pacers (especially Siraj).

Nothing much could have been done about that dismissal. Just too good for Gill.

I have legit never seen a more pathetic player of short ball than iyer. Why india persist with him is beyond me.
 
Hopefully this is gonna be an exciting match but going by the trend in this tournaments.
It's gonna be a boring one sided contest.

If their top order is blown away can you rely on Iyer, Yadav and Rahul to win the game of India.

You'd be relying on Jadeja to do the heavy lifting.

you want him to score 40 off 24 and get out ? if every one is hitting, the innings will go England way. why not appreciate every ones role? he definitely has 3rd,4th,5th gear in chasing. When setting the target with long tail, he can't go aggressive.

The way the ball is gripping for Maharaj, any score in the vicinity of 300 should be a good one to defend here (provided they’re is no dew later on).

It may be turning square by the time the second innings rolls around. I think India may have missed a trick here by not selecting Ashwin. Though SA are going to get 20 overs of high quality spin, another 10 overs would have be too much to handle.

I am not fan boying Gill. Whether Gill becomes an atg or a failure is irrelevant.

Point is dengue is a very very tough disease to recover from, and when you are recovered it still takes months to be 100%.

This guy recovered but is playing on the big stage. It's not easy and he's clearly not 100% irrespective of where you think his 100% is

So, see, we, as players are bound to get out on any sort of deliveries. You guys have created that environment outside that he can't play a short ball. And I feel that people are picking that up every now and then and it plays on your mind regularly and you keep working on that.

Coming from Mumbai, especially from Wankhede, where the bounce is pretty much even and it bounces way more than any other pitches. So, I've played majority of my games here, so I know how to tackle it. It's just that when I go to hit some shots, you are bound to get out and sometimes it may work, sometimes it may not. And majority of the times it hasn't worked for me, maybe that's the reason you think it's a problem for me. But in my mind, I know there's no problem.
