ICC World Cup 2023: India (326/5) continue their domination with a staggering 243-run win over South Africa (83)

Would be a real shame if this indian team doesn't win the world cup. Outstanding cricket. Absolutely brilliant. Mesmerising stuff from the bowlers. Hope fodder team like nz don't fluke a win in semi. Unless ofocurse it's Pakistan hehe.
 
Thanks to IPL for putting consistency and fight spirit in indian players.

India pace Bowlers Shami, Siraj and Bumrah are deadly trio. Skilful bowlers, not just blind pace merchants like some out there.
 
Man, the South Indians in this group are surely a superstitious bunch (true to their reputation) 😂

Australia ran through many oppositions back in the day without dropping a single game, probably will be India’s turn now.

Needs to win two tosses in semis and finals. Needs to bat first. Not excusing this poor bating here, but team just bats differently when batting second.
 
You know what this reminds me of?

When Australia destroyed india in 2003 during the group game. Reminding them of why they are number 2 in that period and why Aussies are numero uno.

Same is happening here except in reverse.

As from naked eye Klaasen looks not out to all umpire rohit sharma all..

I recall final was one sided as well with Ponting dominating India.

India has made SA look like bunch of minnows tody. Such terrible slow start was meant for a collapse

Just like with nedtherlands and Pakistan they lose all intent to score? Minus quinton of course who tries at opening?

Mate - they can just pick any opener from the saT20 league who has a good sr. Cant do worse than bavuma. Atleast give them a chance. Bavuma has been around a long time now- a serial bottler with no intent and puts pressure on his teammates.

Ponting would do good. Hayden gilly and symmonds lehmann rtc would struggle vs this brutal attack. Martyn was a class player. He does well vs spin. Not sure if he would survive vs this pace attack though.

The bowling has been top class from the start but Bavuma and Dussen went test mode then after Bavuma got out Indian bowling went into 5gear mode. Batting has been poor though

I'm aware bowling is class, even while batting g first I never expected sa to bazzball this attack

But in chasing sa literally shut themselves off.

Makram, klaseen, van der dussan look like literal tail enders when chasing, this happened with nedtherlands and Pakistan too despite both teams having toothless bowling attacks.

I don't get why their so bad at chasing.

If you wanna beat sa, just bat first 😂😂

Just cause they are doing well, people will say all kinds of things. They used to do the same with Aussies between 2003 to 2007 when they won often. Like all decisions for lbw go in their favour.

One lbw looked like it was turning inwards. I think that was out tbh.

So it seems like South Africa in this tournament have been playing in the style of what one would except England to play. If the pitch is flat, outscore the opponent.

While England on the other hand looked all out of sorts.

And India is the invincible team. The team to beat in this World Cup and they should reach the Final.

This is nothing to do with their chasing issue. This total is too much for this pitch. India outbatted, outbowled. They did chase against Pakistan. Most of the wickets they lost there were gifted wickets.

India is not invinicible. They adapt better. They don't play the exact same way on all the pitches. They change accordingly. Today Iyer and Kohli partnership was a case in point. They did not lose their heads when the scoring rate dropped. They bid their time. Saw off Maharaj.
