No fighting spirit no passion literally nothing and they get tax payers money to play like that?

I decided to sacrifice one nights sleep to watch Ken Williamson today - he didn’t disappoint his only fan here as it looks.

I am staying up too. I took a nap in the evening to watch this game and also Eng-Aus game.

Who pays for travel and logistics of support staff in ICC tournaments? ICC or respective cricket boards? 15 players is less for long tournaments, every team is dealing with injury and fatigue. I wish they allowed 18 player squad
Travel arrangements (& daily allowances) by the team, accommodation & intra-match travelling by ICC/Host. But, cricket board gets a fund from Guarantee money, even before starting the trip.

Did Babar expect rain or something? Hope that is not the case. In cloudy condition batting will be harder.
Was watching the pre match coverage, I think everyone was saying to bowl first due to the cloud coverage + if DLS becomes a factory in the second innings. But the cloud coverage disappeared really quick before the innings.

Everyone thought it was the correct decision. Look at the first few pages of this thread.
Normally yes, would be a good decision even with the current scoreline with NZ. Australia, India and South Africa would still be in the game here.

Pakistan will crumble under pressure in a chase against a bowling machine, let alone international level bowlers.

Ridiculous. They are running away with it. Babar is the worst captain we have had in ages.

Rachin is playing with rauf here. Excellent shot and then giving him a smile

So after WC what's next? Rizzu as captain? And more praise.

PAK had to bat here first - if not spin, after 75 overs, in the dry afternoon session there will be lots of reverse here. 275 would have been enough.

If you are to put someone in, you must have a good new ball pair, otherwise no point fielding first on such tracks where whatever moisture, evaporates within 10 overs.

Crowd to my right waved at Hasan and he acknowledges, lol.

Can somewhat track SSA's trajectory but Rauf too quick.
Thats one of the disadvantages of sitting behind midwicket or square leg in stadium. with quicks like rauf, it just zips and is a blur. if you were behind long on, you can get a better perspective of speed from both ends.
but tell me -are you allowed to move inside the stadium or just stick to your own stands?

Oh wow.

No wonder he’s loving absolutely smashing our bowlers.

I guess it’s in IND roots to just thrash our bowling.

It has scarred our bowlers starting from Umar Gul in 2011.

He has smashed many teams in this World Cup. Not just Pakistan.

Then again, many batters had great times in this WC (Warner, Kohli, QDK, Klaasen etc.).

Time to sleep it's hopeless now no good will come out of this now

Not a 275 wicket against good opposition, 330+ definitely needed. But Pakistan should definitely have batted first here, they are chasing the game here and will crumble.

Babar Azam has effectively booked Pakistan a flight home through his atrocious captaincy.

Problem with rauf is he doesn't use the full length of the crease which means his balls lose pace once it hits the surface of the pitch. Also his release point isn't high so he doesn't rush batsmen.

How many overs Rauf bowled without considering any boundary may be an interesting data

I don't know what's worse......Pakistani bowling display or listening to Ramiz & Waqar on commentary.......

Apart from Rizwan and Shaheen, there is no other option for ODI captaincy.
That’s not the case actually- they have invested 6 years in Shadab and he actually makes the playing XI on merit. They can try Imam as well, but he has lost his place.

Nobody smashes our bowlers as personally as IND does these days.

They just don’t respect our bowling anymore. Which is what this pathetic bowling lineup deserves too.

Pakistan has already been neutralized here and there is no way this team is chasing this huge score coming

I feel like I just wasted my time waking up at 5 to watch this horror. No fight no aggression. Just giving away soft runs. This team doesn't deserve to be in Semis.

I am sure that if Pakistan had batted first here, They would have scored something around 280 290 and that is it

Now they are set. Even pacers will travel. Lack of wicket taking balls, wicket taking bowlers. are hurting pak. Change the pace.

Same, contemplating going back to sleep but I'll end up having nightmares now.....

Monster of a 6 that, he's turning 24 in 4 days. I hope NZ don't try to convert him into one of their long list of bits and pieces players. He should concentrate on his batting and on how he can improve. Don't overload him with too much work.

I'll be disappointed if this kid is not amongst the best bats in the world in LOI's (at the minimum) in 4 years time

Own stands mostly. Security is tight. They don't want any incident. Copz everywhere behind.

NZ on their way to 400.

A flat belter as Chinnaswamy is and small ground where Kiwis batters seem to be better than Pakistani batters.

No quality in the Pakistani team. The preparation for this ODI WC was pathetic and non existent. I hope Babar gets all the abuse in the world for the rest of his career for how he has led the team for the last few years.

I don’t know who could be replacement, but England game should be Rauf’s last ODI (I’m taking that PAK is not making the SF - won’t chase it inside 40 overs, then NZ won’t loose to SRL, and I’m not sure if the Eng game is already in pocket).

He should stick to T20 and can serve PAK for two more T20 WCs

Obviously, it's a given, but you'll have everyone complaining and saying no no, we'd have easily reached 400+

Whatever chance we had was with the new ball, difficult to dislodge set batters on this pitch once the moisture has disappeared.

NZ should bat us out of the game herez
