Babar did it for pakistan, last time they met New Zealand in 2019 WC. Can he do it again?
 
NZ will be a little nervous without the insurance of those 20-40 runs you get from explosive mavericks like your Klassen's of this world. They should have got to 420 at the minimum from where they were to be honest

I might be wrong but I was of the understanding that they just need to win this and can still look at nrr when they play England. If they get to 400 in this chase, it's going to go pretty much to the wire, so nrr will stay roughly the same? Don't think its essential we win in 35 overs???

This is almost twice as much target to chase. No chance but I want us to at least show the intent go closer to the target.

I think its intelligent batting. They need to be at 75-80 by 1st PP. Fkhar needs to hit 150-170 in as less balls as possible. the remaing 230 can then be chased by Babar, Riz and others. But its a huge mountain to scale as even 2 cheap overs will cause scoreboard pressure.

Lol lets be honest 375 is not enough for you, 380 is not enough for you, clearly even 400 is not enough for you.

Don't make it sound like you'd be satisfied with 420 either.

I mean I am just having blind faith hoping for a fluke really. 320 and above is just not possible to chase in my opinion. But who knows. Nz almost chased 400 vs aus

Even I dont think Pak can chase this but they need to take it as deep as possible with minimum loss of wickets. Chasing 100-110 in last 10 overs is easy in Chinnaswamy with its short boundaries. The msitake they did vs AUS was they needed to score 100 of 70 balls but lost wickets.
 
Decent start by Pakistan. They are in this game, it won't be easy but they are still in it. NZ never took off after the 40th over mark. They were 300/3 and basically crawled to 400 from a position of dominance

So far so good for Pakistan.

327 are needed from 40 overs.

Good batting so far. Looking for singles in between big shots
But really no frontline spinners has meant we've always played catch up in this tournament

No I was referring to how some comments here were like we dint get any support or cheers from fans cause we are playing in India. Just need to block out all that nonsense and perform. Fans will cheer when you do well.

420 would have given them a buffer from a fast start or big partnership. They left plenty of runs in that wicket.

It's still a steep chase, but crawling to 400 from 211/1 after 30 (7.11 R.R) , and 300/3 after 40? That's not good enough
