A bilateral serien in England means nothing. I'd rather be the test champions of the world. It's not even close!

WTC final over a bilateral series any day! All these series are part of the goal for every team to compete in the finals of the WTC which automatically makes it higher than individual series.
However, how fans feel about the respective wins is their personal opinion and there is no right or wrong about it.

The championship venue should probably be rotated but having it in India only doesn't make sense as opposed to the home of Cricket Lords which everyone respects.
As for a series win being higher whenever they bring up the history of championships. The tally consists of the 50 Over World Cup, T 20 World Cup, Champions Trophy and WTC which are the major ICC tournaments. No one cares about people winning just one series somewhere. Why is Dhoni so respected it's because he has won championships, Sarfraz has cult status because of the Champions Trophy, Imran Khan 1992 World Cup, Kapil Dev for 1983 etc. This is equivalent to that in a sense. Sure it's not a whole tournament you can watch but it is mentioned along with that tally so maybe not as glamorous but far better than any bilateral series win.

Does anyone remember or care what happened in a particular Test series from year 1925? There have been hundreds of Test series since 1877.

A series lasting 4-5 tests in Eng is more valuable for me.
Eng has not been the great test team in the last 20 years and yet 2001 was the last time Aus won a series in Eng.

Most of the people will choose England to win and that is fine. WTC is not that hyped thing. Especially for subcontinent teams, an England series win is more important.

No way , they are disparate to win a series against india and current statements from players ( Ex or current) are showing that they want to win at any cost . maybe some Aussie poster( Not desi) can express their view Better than me .
