Imad Wasim's importance for Pakistan ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 campaign

Imad has impressed at the CPL - all looks good for Pakistan.

If he continues like that he could play a very important role for us.

Powell the Captain of JT said “He is a big boy, he gives your really big four overs with the ball and finishes off with the bat too”. Easily our best T20 cricketer in terms of overall package there is.

If Imas, Shadab start firing with a couple of overs from Hafeez along with Shaheen and some quality fast bowling.

We do seem ready with Power hitters to prevail.

On top Nawaz the direct competitor has Covid and will be replaced by Qadir.

Nawaz will be fresh for the last ODI i believe at least against NZ failing that he'll be fit for the t20s, people can't ignore the good work he's put in also.

Champion cricketer and the best limited-overs all-rounder we have. He'll be an integral player at the World Cup. Its just a shame that the YouTube cricketer has dropped him fro the ODI squad and is wasting is one-day career despite his ability and superlative batting numbers.

Also think he can't bat lower than six or seven in T20Is. Because he has far greater batting ability at those numbers than most guys in the side. Especially Shadab.

He bats with a lot of responsibility, he bat different methods whether holding up an end or batting aggressively and has maturity to provide assistance to captain and team as a leader. He is so important despite Nawaz having the edge as a bowler. Imad should be Pakistan's No.6 for T20WC.

Needs to lose a bit of timber but much better than most options we currently have lower down the order. Far superior to Shadab also.

If Shadab is not performing well then it is better to have both Imad and Nawaz in the team rather than having an out of form player just in the name of combination/diversity

Imad in UAE is jus GOLD. He needs to be preffered ahead of the likes of Nawaz. Him and Shadab should be our no 7 and 8 for the wc.

Imad Wasim can't do anything about how weak the overall side is.

However, it's very pleasing to see that he responded to being dropped in the right way.

That's odis different format different players.nawaz offers next to nothing with the bat and is to similar to Imad pluss they both like to bowl with the new ball.

No one spinner in Pakistan rn can cause trouble to Indian batsman. Besides Indian team is much stronger and I fancy them to beat Pakistan.

Jadeja is a spinner, he just bowls flat. He imparts revolutions on the ball, whereas Imad doesn't.

Can someone gives me any stat about Imad vs Nawaz comparison
I checked cricinfo for stats; and found Nawaz to be a very good TTF player (with almost 0 performances for whatever he has played). And found Imad's stats more impressive than some of our batters as well (that too against good teams (reminding not out after playing 20+ balls is also good))
I dont remember any game Nawaz has won for Pakistan with the bowl. And the less we talk about his batting better it is

Really? A TTF, yet he’s only played 24 T20is and 16 ODI’s. Maybe if he was backed like Imad Wasim then he could’ve shown his true potential, but instead he was in and out of the squad and was never backed by the management.

Again potential and talent..(the most overused buzzwords in our cricketing circles)
Give me numbers dude; as far as I remember , Nawaz (except for very few matches, he always played against Zimbabwe, SL, and West Indies and that too in subcontinent) He was that good he should have performed even in a single match but I think he did not..

He is limited player but he is honest trier and uses whatever talent he has to maximum.

Pakistan should have got another specialist spinner who flights the ball.

He has done well in the past there too. Good sign for the World Cup. His 4 overs will be vital.
