Hard to believe England don’t have better spin bowling allrounders given the talent they keep unleashing these days.
 
Shami is really poor in LoIs for a while. Even in tests, he isn't any great shakes of late.

Need to pull up his socks.
 
Eng bats really struggle when there is something in the wicket for bowlers.....

I hope we produce these kind of spells while defending. We seem to have a poor record defending totals in LOIs.
 
U'd think having grown up in such swinging conditions, Eng would have it down pat and know how to ride out the swing and cash in once its stops swinging or it reduces. I'd still say our guys got their lengths right, and Rishabh took a couple of awesome catches. Always difficult to catch off the inside edge and diving down legside than off the outside edge and diving on off side.
 
Rohit the captain is a completely different beast to Kohli. Real tragedy that we wasted his peak years from 2015-21 and let s clueless Kohli run his choke show with zero accountability.

Just hope he gets his hands on atleast one of three world titles in the coming 15 months.
 
All that was needed here was some sensible batting in the first few overs and this is a 275-300 pitch. This isn’t a 78-8 type pitch.

Youll see the difference today only after 3 main batters coming back and bowling of eng still bleak with trundlers...But with 3 batters coming back, I guess they are enough to bash India's avg team

T20s are pathetic excuse for a beautiful sport like cricket. ODIs still test you for some duration of time, T20s are just waste of time.

Kohli's captaincy was also ruined by Dhoni. That lower order destroyed Kohli's career as a Captain.

Dhoni has been nothing short of panauti for our cricket during last 5 years of his cricket career.
 
What a turnaround for England. A year ago ace at LO, awful in tests. Now playing brilliantly in tests and have forgotten how to play LO! Not that I mind. I prefer it this way.

Why? It’s bad timing isn’t it with 2 WC’s coming up within 12-18 months?

Both in foreign conditions and that too Aus and Ind- 2 places where England struggles traditionally.

Not sure what was the problem when I said it was a poor performance by England. It was indeed a poor performance by them. You don't have to whine like a little doll here. It's the conditions. This season, there has been less sideways movement in England since atleast 2004 as far as test cricket is concerned.

On the other hand, the white ball has swung a fair bit and this pitch has been fast, bouncy and seaming.

Just seems like a 130-38k swing bowler.

This has been our bane. Instead of giving youngsters a chance we are content on playing these oldies.

Have to agree there. T20s are only suitable for pyjama leagues and associates.

Tests and ODIs are the real deal.

But it is also important to cut down the duration of Pyjama Leagues. Some people want ODIs to be scrapped just because they want to see Chennai vs Banglaore 10 times in an year. :inti
