We've been an ordinary fielding team for several years... a lot of fielding has to do with attitude and under Kane the standards have dropped big time. With McCullum he held them to a standard and he would drill that into them. It's the same with India who have improved immensely under Kohli who puts a lot of importance on fielding.

I know this is too early and we have done Jack in terms of winning silverware for some time but this middle order with Rahul, Iyer and Dube started to give me hope again. Put Pandya in the mix and we have a dynamic and explosive middle order to support our ATG top order. At the very least refreshing to see a team building process without the likes of TTFs. If Kuldeep could get his shitz together we are good for next few years LOI wise.

Sir ji, I will tell you some good news. Pannauti pant cost India the odi series vs Australia in 2018 in India, World Cup semi final and also several other games this year. In fact India lost the first game vs Australia only when pant played. The moment he was swapped with Rahul, India won both games and hence the series.

Pannauti pant should focus only on test cricket or forget keeping and play as a pure batsman.

Release speed is the same. But of the pitch it is different. Shami is very quick of the pitch. Bumrah actiong itself is a huge advantage. His release point is much later so a 145k ball from him would look like 150k because he gains a distance advantage at the point of release. Also he comes at an angle. And above all without any change in action he bowls slower ball, yorkers, bouncers, slow bouncers. So it is hard to line up against him.

If you are talking about me then I was one of those who wanted Rahul in the LOI team only on one condition and that was to keep wickets just like Rahul Dravid because as a batsman alone I won't rely on KL Rahul. Keeping wickets has improved his confidence and game just like Dravid did.
