India [144/8] beat England [139/6] by 5 runs in the second T20I

Our T20 team actually has been ordinary for sometime now and if it wasn't for that bradman-esque run from Virat last year, I am not sure we would have won either that Australian T20 series or the Asia Cup and definitely wouldn't have reached the Semis of WT20, so when Virat doesn't come off in 2 games - we see where we really are which Virat's failures lead us to believe, is something new.

Dhoni came at the end. On this type of pitch its nearly impossible to start hitting from ball one.
Stop blaming Dhoni in each and every match.
 
Been saying it all along - our LOI team is overrated. It has stagnated with no injection of youth. In contrast to that, our test team has a nice core of players all within the same age group performing at the peak of their potential. It's why I don't like to watch our Loi teams nowadays.

He averaged something around 38 the last time i saw his stats on the screen . Thats like test average for some batsmen the problem with dhoni is that he rarely makes an impact in this format something his average or even the strikerate wont show.
He is an amazing t20 captain though . And an absolute legend.

But but pant has to wait for his chance after 2 seasons when dhoni the selfless will give a chance to mere mortal players. Why should u play garbage players when u have the best finisher the world has ever seen

On pitches like these you can't expect one to come in and start blasting bowlers.
A solid foundation is important at the start. Dhoni came in at a very tricky position, it was not easy to hit at that point.

I have been bashing raina inclusion also from the start. Everyone is bashing yuvraj.
Let's see if its pitch or bad batting as well.
 
Because it appears some people are not getting it; Raina, Yuvi, Dhoni and Pandey all need to be binned from T20I cricket. Only position Pandey can play is as opener and that position will go to Rohit once he gets fit.

No matter how much others pretend but indian team is all about kohli these days. There are no match winners in indian team except kohli and ashwin.

I blame kohli as well for picking yuvi who lost it long time back and nobody can do anything with regard to dhoni as he is the best finisher ever and a legend
 
Raina and Yuvi also need to be binned from ODI cricket, and we can only afford to carry one of Dhoni and Pandey in the 50 over format.
 
The only way Pant can debut is if it's a dead rubber.

I wanted to watch this series only for his debut. I will call it a day if Kohli doesn't play him in the last match too..

In the last match on a flat pitch he scored 36 in 30 balls. What was the excuse then? If he succeeds only when others succeed then why the hype of best finisher, legend?

It is the same pitch where we folded for 79 against NZ.

It doesn't excuse our joke of a middle order. Rahul+Kohli scored 92 off 61 balls; rest of our team scored at 5 rpo.

Absolutely kohli was responsible for yuvraj brought to rcb as well. He still hopes for old yuvraj.

Nehra bowling really smartly here. Need to dismiss Morgan asap, he's been in good form.
 
Morgan much improved against spin? He played spinner well last match as well.

Yeah the best finisher ever playing 25 percent balls and scoring at a strike rate of 133 in the last 10 overs that too as a finisher.

That is a classic example where stats are misleading. He was 24 in 21 balls going to the last over untill that he played 9 overs in the later part of the innings where he has plodded all along at run a ball
 
I want India to lose so that yuvraj,dhoni and raina are all out of the team.

Atleast he scored at a strike rate of 133, 5 out of 8 batsmen didn't even crossed 100 LOL.
 
Last time also we got 2 back to back wickets but still lost. Mishra need to take one of them soon

We also felt the same when some people Blame everything on ipl and who disparage same indian players for playing ipl an indian tournament in front of whole world
 
God, we know Dhoni is past it and is horrible now. You don't need to repeat that every 2nd post.

Yuvraj played an even more pathetic knock today but the talk has all been about Dhoni. It's a frigging slow pitch where it's difficult to hit from the get go for any batsman let alone a past it batsman. 160 would've been a winning total here if Ash and Jaddu were in the team. Makes you question the cricketing nous of people here.
 
The Dhoni back and forth is tiring.

India needs a refresh of the entire middle order, not just Dhoni.


Root and Morgan are playing well here, twos and singles is the way to go.
