BD rested 4 of their main players in case you didn't know. They didn't field Taskin, Litton, and Mahedi.

I think focus was on the game tomorrow due to having back to back games.
 
Looking @ the dropped catches, I feel a lot of them - our guys loose them on the way down, its the last few metres where i feel either our guys are close enought to catch them or misjudge the speed at which the ball is coming down.
Again am no fielding expert, but just my 5c - hopefully before friday's game vs SL, we sort this out.

Some of my best memories are from Railway travel from Chennai to Delhi in summers.. I have done all the ones, nowadays no one has time for them.

Fun goes when affordability comes, I have travelled in non-ac during summers , still amazing time.

Dayum got nostalgic..

Bangladesh players are pretty bad againts wrist spinners. They get stuck on the crease not knonwing what to do. Been the case since Shahid Afridi days.

BD are likely to field their full-strength side tomorrow. Litton, Taskin, Mahedi, and even Shoriful may return.

They have no choice. If they lose, they go home.

There wasn't much at stake in today's game. It was like a warmup before tomorrow's game. :inti

Tonight, BD had the advantage of 1) Winning the toss 2) Chasing in DewBai under lights. 3) India dropping 5 regulation catches. 4) Chasing a below par total. Yet capitulated by 40+ run margin :mv
 
If India bat first in the final on a similar pitch against Pakistan, the game could be very tight. India should stop playing around with the batting order, stop the arrogance and use SL game to the fullest. Overs 12 to 20 are tough batting first as we've seen in more than 2 games so far. Not taking anything away from BD bowlers. Thry bowled very well today but pitch played a part.

No. Saif is likely to play. Saif replaced Emon. Emon replaced Litton today. Litton should return next game.

Saifuddin is likely to get the chop. Taskin comes in.

Mahedi is likely to return ahead of Rishad or Nasum.

Bangladesh batsmen lacked quality today. Yes, India bowled well but you have to question the skill-level and decision-making of Bangladesh batsmen. India's fielding was horrendous which is why Bangladesh got to 126, and someone like Saif ended up scoring 67, but it felt like India were getting a few chances every over. In general it felt like Bangladesh batsmen lacked a proper game plan against spin.

No NRR drama and qudrat ki nizam drama in super 4s, India through to finals. It's a straight shootout tomorrow. Glad for it.
 
Saif was never a hard hitter like Shai Hope. However, playing in the leagues helped him to improve his power game. He was outside of our main squad, but glad he was included.

T20 is all about entertainment, so far he is the only BD batsman who played some entertaining shots.

He was terrible when he first came to the scene.

He is much better now. He can hit better. He is also chipping in with some useful part-time overs.

He was economical with the ball today.

Good utility player. Good find for BD.
 
Technique against even basic spin is poor. I understad getting bamboozled by Kuldeep to some extent varun. Axar is type of bowler you see every day in your domestic set up. Apart from that opener nobody could take him on.

BPL pitches are often sluggish.

You have to look at last 1 year or 2 years. He improved a lot.

Also, during his first few years, he was struggling.

He has been superb in this Asia Cup. Scored 60+ against SL, 30+ against Afghanistan, and 60+ against India today. Good strike-rate also.

His only reasonable season was last year and he was striking at 119. Mind you he looked good today, but I don't know if it was just a good day where he benifited due to poor fielding or possess actual hitting abilities. We will see in future

Some of the new pak/bang batsmen have mastered the art of six hitting while ignoring other facets of the game. That is why their strike rate is lower. Farhan has scored 156 runs for Pakistan at a strike rate of 107 in the Asia cup. This saif guy second highest run getter / 160 runs at 129.
 
India are asking to be punished, but these teams need to trust themselves. Very ordinary by India in the field and to only get 168 after the start they got is poor going.

If Pakistan did that, we would be seething.

Bangladesh had a golden opportunity.

If I was SL I’d be very confident. Unfortunately for them it will not matter regards making the final
 
BD have another problem all of their better hitters are Wicket Keepers which is one of the reason they cant play batting depth like SRL. We need proper allrounder like Faheem or Pandya or even Sean Abbot/Aaron Hardie.

Yes.

An all-rounder like Shakib is needed. That can give them more batting depth.

I don't think even Pakistan could chase this target against India with Bumrah now again bowling hard lengths. Pakistan's best bet will be to bat first

IN order to form a modern T20 team six hitting alone is not enough. You need a well rounded squad that can manage different situations like collapses, pitch condition change. BD is behind in quiet a few areas.
