What's new

India [185/8] defeat England [177/8] by 8 runs in 4th T20I to level series at 2-2

Pressure was on Captain and Coach to play SK Yadav. Kishan was made the scapegoat. He is the youngest and got sacrificed. Injury is just an excuse I feel.

He still could've played instead of Rahul as I already said if that was the case.

I agree.

KL Rahul is a 50 averaging potential bat while Pant is the next Gilchrist, so they can't be dropped and hence Kishan/Iyer was the one to make a scapegoat.

:inti

I don't really see this Indian team as contenders for the T20 world cup. Even at home. And I had them as favourites for the 2019 World Cup

Ball rolled on the ground there as he was composing himself after the catch not sure how the umpire on field spotted that

Great fielding effort. But not out IMO. Again, soft signal ... might pinch quite hard .. Why should the umpire have to observe a soft signal from so far out.. when it’s so tricky even for the third umpire on replays!

SKY was all set for a huge score. Cut short by pathetic Indian umpiring.

Why there should be a soft signal at all for such catches? It should just go straight to the 3rd umpire (just like close runouts!) If this is the case then even runouts should have soft signals! Lol..!

:)))

Stupid icc rules.

Phattu umpires.

And the audacity of some fans to doubt those who question nonsense like drs umpires call and soft signal.

Soft signal is basically based on whether the fielder claims the catch or not.

I knew in real time it was likely not out. But umpire confidently gave soft signal out.

And third umpire was a blind idiot. :))

How can on-field send soft signals watching it that far away! Ridiculous! This should just be like run-out reviews!

why is that not conclusive enough. Indian umpires are not confident enough to decide for themselves. pathetic

There was conclusive evidence to overturn the soft call.

Inconclusive ring finger could have been under the ball, even if there was a 20% chance of being out because on field umpire gave the decision it stands, third umpire needs to be 100% sure.

Are you watching the same game?

The ball clearly clearly touched the ground. It was clear as daylight.

Clearly it wasn’t as clear as daylight because the umpire took more than 6 minutes and couldn’t make a definitive call, even now the replays are still inconclusive, from a neutral point of view.

Pant's strike rate (123) isn't acceptable in this day and age.

Need to score 10 an over from here and we'll reach 180.
