We will win if that miracle happens. Highly unlikely to happen though. Omce a choker always a choker.
Banter aside, any half decent fast bowler in the circuit?

Shikhar Dhawan is a concern. He can be blasted out by fast bowlers and also off spinners. People like to romanticise him by saying he is an ICC trophy bully, but that is just crap. This is absolute loss of eye.
I would agree but this same **** happened before CT where iirc he got dropped against england before CT but ended up being one of our best players.
depends on what you want as bowler, if he gives india 6 overs a game for 30 he has done his job even if he picks no wickets. He isn't bumrah or a kuldeep if you want something like that you have expectations that are not realistic and you have to consider the fact that he plays at 7 a position where we either have guys who can't bowl as well as him or can't bat as well as him. Do you have a replacement at 7 you would prefer who can help india play the 2 leggies.
Given that Thala is going no where, I hope this is the final XI
Dhawan
Rohit
Kohli
Vijay Shankar
Dhoni
Jhadhav
Hardik Pandya
Bhuvi/Shami
Kuldeep
Chahal
Bumrah
A few things to note
1. We have to play Chahal over Jadeja. Jaddu can be the backup spinner in the XV, but Chahal + Kuldeep are match winners. Jadeja aint. He is only there to make the batting look stronger, which he doesnt.
2. Vijay Shankar in place on Rayudu
The bowling 40 overs from KulCha + Bumrah + Shami (or Bhuvi) is excellent. Pandya + Jhadhav + Vijay Shankar can help you squeeze out good 10 overs + a few extra overs if one of the Bowlers is having a tough time.
The batting - Top 3 is still one of the best in the world (yes, Dhawan's had a tough time, but he is a big torunament player).
Shankar seems like a solid 4. Dhoni is the weak link. Jhadhav is not the most trust worthy, but he is fine given the options he gives with the ball. Pandya is the perfect no. 7.
Due to Dhoni and Jhadhav the batting is slightly on thr weaker side. But this is the best XI we can post.
That was his peak. Recent exploits suggests that he is late onto strokes n all. He is just not the old Dhawan
I still maintain playing both Chahal and Kuldeep will be disaster.
Why? Too long a tail?

A better batsman and actually has some pace to rattle the batsman and a much better fielder than Shankar.
That being said, I will take Shankar over Fat Rayadu.

Tail is a major problem. Fielding as well. Once they start to get thrashed the floodgates will be opened. I know they are getting wickets but both playing will be risky. I prefer Chahal who has better control.
Jadeja has to be in the field last 10 over though..
