What's new

India (267/6) defeat Australia (264) by 4 wickets to qualify for the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2025

Australia 252/8

12 deliveries to go.

They would look to get close to 270.

During the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 semifinal against Australia at the Dubai International Stadium, India's star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was asked to remove the tape from his hand. The incident occurred in the 19th over when umpire Richard Illingworth halted play and instructed Jadeja to take off the tape from his bowling hand. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli also joined the discussion before Jadeja eventually complied with the request.

According to ICC regulations, bowlers are generally not permitted to tape their bowling hand unless they have a valid injury and have obtained prior approval from the umpires. Taping is only allowed when necessary for injury protection, provided the umpire grants consent.

CHEATERS

Show some love to Mr ICC our very own Chachu who's bowled really well today.

Missed a few catches otherwise would have had more wickets too.

Aus are surely going to score a under par score.
DOn't think so - that Iyer Run-out probably earned India 10-12 runs, but still 270ish target will be challenging here against 4 spinners (Head will bowl today). Unless it dew heavily, this is already like 310+ at Lahore/Karachi

OUT

Australia bowled out for 264

It’s a very good score still.

60-40 in favour of Australia

We need to be 70/0 after 10 to have a higher chance of winning this.

Captain has to play a big one today. Please no more little cameo, stay there for long for once please.

Doesn't Panyda bowl with that thing that looks like brass knucks?

Not being able to chase this total in current era lmao would be awful for the status of cool kohli fat Sharma.

Kl Rahul we all know will fail

Aus would have loved 20 more runs, but Aus will take half chances so they are still in the game.

Actually I will take this total - it’s only 20 more than what was scored last time & the wicket isn’t as bad. Lets see how India do here.

Why is the interview in Hindi? How can other people understand it?

It should be in English with a translator if he can't speak English.

Given the batting form of few, choking tendency of KL rahul i won't be surprised if India lose this handsomely.

Decent score but selecting Sangha will cost Australia.

Australia need 4 or 5 wickets in the first 20 to defend this.

Defendable score. I think it's about par.

India will need to take advantage of the PP and make sure they grab as many runs as possible before things slow down later.

Advantage australia but their spinners are not experienced except Zampa and the wicket is much better. Still a good score ..india will need one of the top 3 to bat well

The value of singles in ODI is important. 10 more runs from his innings gets Australia to 274 now. Hindsight I guess. So hid innings now looks slow comparing what others did. Even Labuchagne ended with better SR
Eating up balls wasn't a big issue. Issue was him getting out at the wrong time. He could've accelerated later on.

My prediction of 85 run win for Aus looks good. This is a tough pitch and a great toss to win for Aus. Bookmark it.

Hahahah, people here actually think aus have a chance with this total. India will make this look like a cake walk, easy win loading…

Without Smith's innings, Australia might have been bundled out for 230.

Smith played well. Just got out at the wrong time.

I think Zampa will be a major threat on this wicket. Bowls wicket to wicket and gives away very little. He's got a good match-up with Kohli too, who has been struggling against leg-spin.
