What's new

India (302/5) defeat Australia (289) to win 3rd ODI by 13 runs

Maxwell gone. Bumrah has the last laugh.

Think that should be the game for India.

Huge wicket. ********* by Maxwell. He needed to just see off Bumrah and cash in on the others!

Maxwell may have done enough though by bringing the RRR to just over run a ball though. 80-20 India at this point

Said it here if it happens. Impossible to beat teams with so many allrounders like Aus,Eng. This is the new direction of cricket

That's why when Pandya was bowling his full 10 overs it was giving the much needed balance! Alrounders are confidence players, the performance in one department rubs on to the other...

I’m surprised that it took this long for Bumrah to figure out that with the amount Maxwell moves around in his crease, you’ve just got to fire it into the stumps. Finally some sense.

Like I said earlier, Maxwell to take it close and then get out, leaving too much for the remaining Agar etc to pick up the pieces.

Both can bat. One over of Bumrah to negotiate and its anyones game really.

Lol the way Indians are celebrating they seem like zimbabwe or something desperate for a win like come on you are a top tier team stop celebrating a dead rubber like that lol you are way better than that

In reality this is India A minus Rohit Sharma.

Fast bowlers are always rotated so you can’t count Shami, otherwise England playing the Curran brothers is England B and Pakistan playing Hasnain is Pakistan B.

So what you’re watching is India A giving a competitive fight to Australia B.

After the embarrassment against Zimbabwe at home and before the inevitable thrashing that awaits us in NZ (unless they throw us out of their country first),

I am glad that Pakistani fans have found some happiness in between with Australia’s comprehensive series win over India.

:101:

Who will be Australia's Babita ji to distract them?

Most probably be distracted by champak lal(Kohli). :inti

5 losses in a row, and now potentially 6. Kohli’s captaincy has to be questioned. Rohit Sharma looks like a better choice for India imo.

Sean Abbott is dreadful. Got smashed at the death and now couldn’t even get bat on ball

Comprehensive series win. Whitewash would have been tremendous and they had full control of this game, but it is still a great performance.

Beating a full-strength Australia away remains one of the most daunting tasks in the game.

Congratulations to Australian and 6th ranked team fans whose team loses to Zimbabwe at home.

Now that Thakur has snared 3 wickets in this game, he'll be an integral part of our team for next 2 years at least.

Ashton Agar is not an allrounder. Aussies are kidding themselves. He should bat lower than 9.

Thakur, you legend!

Those magical hands, whatever rubbish he bowls results come out favourable.

Its india B, Rohit Sharma is a huge miss.

Nice to see the regular Indian posters backing their team

Thank you for your "expert" opinion.

Are you happy about it or sad?
Can't say. Happy for sure to see us finally probably winning one but sad at the same time to see this trundler taking wickets and hence enhancing his chances.

Ashton Agar is not an allrounder. Aussies are kidding themselves. He should bat lower than 9.

Lacks the ability to get a 20 ball 30. Can take singles and stuff, but not very usable at no.9 esp when there isnt any senior batter batting alongside.

Yes. I mean he is a bowler who can take singles with the bat and should not be considered a reliable allrounder. And he is not a great bowler either even though he bowled well today.

Kohli always calls heads at toss, today he called tails. No wonder he finally won one toss.

Its india B, Rohit Sharma is a huge miss.

Of course. He is among the top 3 ODI openers ever.

He is worth 4-5 players alone. However, Australia still played great cricket because beating India without Kohli or Rohit is still a challenging task, as fans of a certain team found out with bitter taste in the 2018 Asia Cup.

If this is India C, the team that showed up day before yesterday was India D.

Truth is
India BEAT AUSSIE FULL strength team at home while losing all tosses
Australia beat an All most full strength at home while winning tosses.rohit and Bhuvi are integral to India whether you like it or not.

Indian players also played and take IPL seriously. More so than the Aussies.

Yeah, you r right. I have noticed it in past also. I think in NZ test series, both games.

This fox commentary team is awful. Just 3 of them shouting together like fan boys

India beat Australia recently and will beat them again soon. Australia and India have a competitive rivalry, so they don’t get carried away with either wins or defeats.

However, there are some teams who are still searching for their first ODI series win against Australia since 2002.

Australia probably fielded the worst ever bowling attack ive seen from them in international cricket and still competed well.
Could have picked a young seamer for exposure instead of going with maxwell as the opening bowler

Congrats on a dead rubber win against an Australia C side. They played this game like a Sunday league game yet almost were about to get the better of you.

Lol.. No one is celebrating here...only you are Whinning here for no reason.
Go and wipe your tears.

Congratulations to India for a consolation win, well done Australia for the series win.

That was the best game of the series, bit more balanced between bat and ball.

This fox commentary team is awful. Just 3 of them shouting together like fan boys

Aussie commentary has become unbearable.

Man you are so hurt by Indias series defeat that you bring in Pakistan into every post. Grow up and wipe of your tears.

As I said before, its tough to chase under lights in Australia. And people were like, Pandya is not a match winner bcoz he couldnt chase 380...lol.

I have no doubt India would have won the 1st two matches as well had they batted first. Similarly, Australia would have won today had they batted 1st here :inti

No Bhuvi
No Rohit
No Gill for the first 2 games.

Also pandya not fully fit to bowl.
Yet my beautiful Indian team played fairly well despite losing all tosses except today.

India beat full strength Aussies at home.
Aussies beat a strong Indian side but not Absolute full strength as we are without the beast Rohit, Bhuvi and pandya half fit as he can't bowl plus Gill should be in the middle order over Iyer for Aussie condtions.

Anyway both teams overall are evenly matched. That's the truth.

Nah he is worth 15-20 players alone. Greatest player ever

Lol.. No one is celebrating here...only you are Whinning here for no reason.
Go and wipe your tears.

Lol check Mamoons posts and some others who aren't crying and whining and have a o bring in Pakistan into their posts as they lost the series.
Wipe your tears and grow up

Definitely brother, India is one of the top teams in the world at the moment. And I do actually like Rohit and Bhuvi so indeed they are integral.

I just think it’s unfair to take credit away from the Aussies, as well as not allow other teams to use these same reasons when they lose. As a Pakistan fan, obviously I will contextualize it in terms of Pakistani losses that could have been wins if we won the toss/players weren’t injured/selection was good/pitch was more conducive etc.

At the end of the day, it was still a closely fought series on home turf and a lot of good takeaways for India despite what people say - Pandya is emerging as extremely reliable, while Saini has been exposed and Gill has been given exposure.

I fully expect this Indian team to win a 5 match series in India 4-1 against Australia, assuming Rohit and Bhuvi are there. But I have done my best to outline certain double standards over the last week and I hope you’ll agree at least 1% that any other team in India’s position would have threads popping up like “demise of South African cricket” or “horrible cricket played by Pakistan” or that “IPL vs PSL bowlers” thread being bumped by Indians because [Pakistani Bumrah] and [Pakistani Saini] got spanked, so clearly PSL is inferior. So on and so forth.

You just can’t have it both ways, otherwise a lot of these posts complaining about toss and pitch conditions will come across as biased, even though they are fair grudges.

And we had natrajan who actually is decent btw, shardul ROFL. So its not like we played our best attack.

Congratulations for winning the following trophy:

Our fans clearly needed this boost after the Zimbabwe humiliation and the inevitable humiliation in New Zealand.

Lol full strength australia ?
Where Maxwell opens the bowling
Agar, maxwell, abott, hentiques, in a full strengyh attack? Didnt kmow things were that bad for australia.

Australia got lucky with toss as usual on this series. Hope in test matches, toss luck goes our way. Remember, Kohli never loses whenever he wins the toss.

I agree with everything. I do rate Pakistani players. I already said both India and Australia ar very very evenly matched at full strength. Absolute full strength.

I still think Pakistan has more of a chance to make things hard for India in Asia compared to Aussies obviously. Matchups matter. Same way saffers trouble Pakistan but lose badly to India.

New Zealand trouble India alot but Pakistan beat them usually. It's really weird.

Wipe your tears son and grow up. This is a forum people can post things of what they want. If you can't digest Indias defeat this series then carry on crying. Don't understand why you have to bring in Pakistan into every threads and posts as you got nothing to talk about. Grow up please. Your England lost to Ireland few times and everything single team has lost to a minnows at times.
If you going to hold a dead rubber Zimbabwe win against Pakistan then good for you as that shows you got nothing else to talk about.

What? Did u even read.

India beat a full strength Aussie team at home in 2020 early this year. Remember?

India were without Bhuvi for that series as well.

Well deserved series win for Aus and decent consolation win for India at the end. I guess it was too much chopping and changing from Aus in the last match but, maybe they wanted to try some combinations in the dead rubber.
