Dhoni thinks he is now Gandalf the White, when in reality he will be the one to take the team down.
As long as he remains not out, its all good for him and his blind fans.
Dhoni, Jadav will combine to lose a crucial game for India. Mark my words.

Not an impressive squad to be honest. They invested 2 full years on ATR, then went for DK (Or Shankar) as No. 4; no Pant, Shaw either. The squad is over loaded with spinners, risking Pandeya as 5th pacer in a WC where IND has least days for 9 games and that too after 2 months of IPL. Top Indian players are struggling for fitness and this squad is the oldest in India's WC history, in the physically most demanding WC ever!!!
IND should make the SF easily, but I am not confident about such aged squad (& thin in pace resources) to last till 10th, 11th game - we might see an Indian team starting strong, but gradually fading away from fatigue.
Rahul will fail at 3 again. But expecting you(NRI) to know this is just too much because your head is stuck in IPL. We(indians living in India) know better than you(fake indians) guys.
Regarding brown nosing, sorry, I am not a blind bh@kht and don't believe in throwing cow poop.
And using your logic you also don't have India's best interest in mind too because you want Modi to win just like Imran Khan and other Pakistanis.![]()

I would have picked Pant over Karthik, but neither of them was going to get a chance to be in Playing XI anyway.
MSD has been knocking well in IPL and got a couple of knocks in international as well, and he is never unfit. He will be a great keeper for our spinners, thosand times better than Pant and hundred times better than Karthik.
It will be between Shankar and KL.
My Playing XI would be
Rohit
Dhawan
Kohli
KL/Shankar
MSD
Pandya
Jadhav
Bhuvi
Kuldeep
Shami
Jasprit
World cup needs guys who will bat till late. Our batting will go till 8 this time. With 6 bowling options, and if shankar is picked then 7 bowling options. 2 spin and 4 pace bowlers, 5 if Shankar is picked. Even if 2 bowlers have off days, other 3 can restrict the total and continue to be wicket taking option.
I think squad picked itself. Inconsitancy and bad wicket keeping left out Pant. (not saying he won't improve)
Neither Shaw nor Gill were ready to grab number 4 spot. KL would have been preffered over them anyway.
The likes of Shankar, MSD, Jadav will not score 50 runs between them.
Where are you getting this from? Their recent performances prove otherwise.
Triggered
Anyway on topic, Kohli is our best batsman but he also has issues with moving ball. He getting out in 1st 10 overs like CT Finals meaning game over for India (what you want basically). If we lose early wicket while chasing...no harm in cushioning our best batsman by sending another opener (Rahul) to bat at 3. Utility of Rahul minimises at no.4 anyway bcoz he not a middle order batsman. But yes, if we are batting 1st or openers gave a good start while chasing, Kohli can bat at 3.
No matter what people say Dhoni is still our number one keeper batsman in ODIs. His role as mentor, hand of the king and his excellence in certain run chase scenarios is much needed. He isn't the best in the world but not the worst either, I too believed the hype of Pant some time back but now I totally understand the selectors' call. Even Imran and Miandad were past their best days in 1992 but surely their experience and mentoring helped the Pakistani team lift the trophy. In these big tournaments experience plays a huge role and MSD is someone who is very calm under pressure, a good foil for a skipper like Kohli who gets hyper.
Such things don't go into these heads!

The inclusion of Dinesh Karthik and Vijay Shankar was the big news as India announced their 15-man squad for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 on Monday, 15 April.
The announcement cleared up plenty of questions surrounding the team, but it’s also thrown up a few more talking points. We take a look some of them below.
Experience counts
The inclusion of Dinesh Karthik meant there was no place in the 15 for the popular Rishabh Pant. The move was a surprise, given Karthik had been excluded from the squad for the home one-day international series against Australia – India’s last ODI series before the World Cup.
Pant didn’t really impress in his two outings – he scored 36 and 16 – but Karthik’s inclusion was still a surprise, given MSK Prasad, India’s chief selector, said it was wicket-keeping where he fell short, which seems odd given Pant is India’s first-choice ‘keeper at Test level.
Eventually, it was experience that counted, with Prasad at pains to stress Pant had been in consideration till the very end. In a tricky situation at the World Cup, as game-changing as Pant is, India have opted for the reliability of Karthik.
The No.4 debate is far from settled
With Ambati Rayudu and Pant being dropped from the squad, one would expect there to be more clarity on the crucial matter of the No.4 batsman – but there isn’t.
Prasad suggested Vijay Shankar is, at the moment, the prime candidate for the slot – “we’re looking at him at No.4 … to begin with” – but the likes of Karthik, Dhoni and KL Rahul could all still slot in that position. Even Virat Kohli, the captain, has previously said he’d be happy to come in at two-drop.
With the IPL taking up most of their time, the Indians only have two warm-ups before the World Cup to finalise the matter. Has everything been left a little too last-minute?
The absence of left-arm pace is no biggie
Since the Asia Cup in September 2018, India have experimented with Khaleel Ahmed’s left-arm pace. At the time, the selectors had stated he would provide a valuable point of difference at a stage like the World Cup.
In nine ODIs, Ahmed has been decent, but not outstanding, with 11 wickets in eight matches – his 3/13 against West Indies in Mumbai in October was his best return. However, he was left out of the 15, with the selectors opting to go with the tried and tested trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami.
Is this the end of the road for Ahmed? It certainly seems so, at least until an injury befalls one of the incumbent pacemen, with Prasad insisting no changes would be made to the squad till the 23 May deadline.
Only three specialist pacers … in England and Wales?
India have a wealth of pace options, but they have gone with just three specialist pacers. Hardik Pandya and Vijay Shankar, the pace-bowling all-rounders, are expected to make up for the absence of the fourth outright paceman.
Is that the right way to go in England, where you can’t ever have enough pacemen in dream conditions? Prasad seemed certain about it – it is a quality pace line-up – but also announced that four pacemen would travel with the squad, including Ahmed and Navdeep Saini, and that they’d be called up should the need arise.
India will hope it won’t come to that though.
Jadeja and Shami – the comeback men
Amid all the talk of No.4 batsmen and specialist pacers, what fell under the radar was the stunning efforts of Ravindra Jadeja and Shami. Around this time a year ago, these two players weren’t in the reckoning in ODIs.
Jadeja had been surplus to requirements, with Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal monopolising the spinners' positions in the format – between July 2017 and September 2018, didn't play an ODI, and was less than a fringe player.
Shami’s case is similar – he played just five ODIs between 2015 and 2019 – but has been such a crucial member of the side since the turn of the year, it was unfathomable that he’d be dropped.
They spell danger for the opposition.

We bat till 8?)
If Shankar is preferred over Rahul, tail starts at 4. The likes of Shankar, MSD, Jadav will not score 50 runs between them.
Calling BK as batsman is over the top. He is at best a No.10 in a Championship team.
good luck to Mera Bharat mahaan.I don't understand why they are favorites.Apart from virat and ugly action bowler this team is hardly any good. They won't make the semis.
On a jocular note, Without Risabh, India might get caught with its pants down in some cruical match![]()
Whom should have been picked then? Jadhav and MSD aren't bad as people make out to be. MSD is peaking rightly at the moment. He is the best keeper we have gotten, who will be great on turning pitches. Pant hasn't lived up to his expectations, he will need couple of tests to get settled as a keeper. Jadhav cover at least 6 overs against most teams, who struggle against spinners. Jadhav has done well with bat internationally.
Going by Pandya's form, I don't think we need either MSD or Jadhav.
Not including Pant is a travesty, but apart from that its an excellent squad, second firm favourites along with England.
Shankar will be preferred over Pandya because Pandya is an inconsistent batsman and his bowling is also not so special. Shankar on the other hand have performed well in whatever little chances he has got.I really like the look of Vijay Shankar. I won't be surprised if he's preferred over Pandya. He looks like a better batsmen and can also bowl some decent overs.
Other than that I feel India have missed a trick by not including Pant and including players such as Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jadeja, the latter more so when you have Jadhav there too.
MSD peaking? He is bashing worthless trundlers and inefficient local spinners in IPL. Against good pacers, he is looking very weak.
Imagine MSD playing against the likes of Starc, Pattinson, Cummins etc. He will struggle to even sight the ball. Even after playing gentle pie chuckers, his S/R is nothing to write home about. He is still leaving the scoring on the likes of Jadeja to hit all the big shots.)
Our batting very weak. Pant should have been playing T20 and ODI regularly after CT 2017. Also, Shaw should have gotten a run too. Very poor strategy from selectors to not give the young guns a run before selecting the side. We kept persisting with Jadav, Raina, Karthik, Rayadu... All has beens and never beens.
Our batting is very weak. Bowling is good. So I predict a SF exit in the hands of England or Aus.
What a joke is that answer!!! Let's go by your logic and see if you are making any sense at all! If MSD is bashing trundlers in IPL and scoring runs, what about the wannabe superstar Shaw that you wanted in WC squad? Isn't he playing against the same trundlers and local spinners in this IPL? He's not even in Top20 run getters of this local league & never played an ODI till date and you want him in the WC squad??) I'm glad you're not in the Indian selectors Panel!
The CSK gang has made it to the WC squad. Poor Rayadu. Not even CSK badge could get him into the squad.
Dhoni, Jadeja, Jadav.
Jadeja can at least field like a champ.
Shankar will be preferred over Pandya because Pandya is an inconsistent batsman and his bowling is also not so special. Shankar on the other hand have performed well in whatever little chances he has got.
India missed a trick here by not picking at least one more fast bowler. India will be playing at least 10 games in this tournament and one of the fast bowlers picked is Shami with poor fitness history.
Rahul will fail at 3 again. But expecting you(NRI) to know this is just too much because your head is stuck in IPL. We(indians living in India) know better than you(fake indians) guys.

1.Rohit Sharma
2.Shikhar Dhawan
3.Virat Kohli
4.KL Rahul
5.MS Dhoni
6.Vijay Shankar
7.Hardik Pandya
8.Ravindra Jadeja
9.Kuldeep Yadav
10.Mohamamd Shami
11.Jasprit Bumrah
Too many it's and bit's players with the bold. If the top order do not fire, this lineup is in for a rude awakening even against SRL or Pak similar to CT 17.
We saw what India C did in the Asia cup. Teams like Pakistan and SL have no chance against them even if the top order fails.
like his bowling average of 94 suggests
Batting is comparable.Shankar higher average,Hardik higher SR
There is a concerted effort from this guy to name players who he knows wont be a match winner and a threat to opponents. Hence he kept advocating likes of Dhoni, Rayudu, Karthik, Shankar and foul mouth Rahul, Pant, Pandya etc. This is the same guy who was saying Pandya's batting is equivalent to Anwar Ali. I caught his bluff long time ago.![]()
Who should we vote for then?Italian Bar Dancer and her heroin addict son or the Mahathugbandhan with Mayawati and Mamata Didi??This is the best squad we have under the conditions we are playing in the world cup
Hopefully our indian team will not be as overconfident as some of our fans living outside India. Don't want to see the same scene of fans like you leaving the stadium in the middle of the match again. That was embarrassing. We saw what India C did in the Asia cup. Teams like Pakistan and SL have no chance against them even if the top order fails.
Shows the quality of India's bench strength where even Risabh Pant cant make it in the squad of 15.
If India do make the SF, don't you think the spin attack of Kuldeep, Chahal, maybe even Jadeja will be a huge advantage. The temperatures will be soaring by that time and pitches will be exposed to more wear and tear. And this is an era where batting is weak against spin.

Looks solid and with Kohli and Bumrah, they should win the WC, overall the pace bowling looks weaker than ours bar Bumrah. The top 4 look very good but if teams knock out the 1st 3, it's no better than any other team.
So a playing XI of:
Dhawan
Sharma
Kohli
Shankar/Karthik
Kedar
Dhoni
Hardik
Jadeja (or Shami depending on the pitch)
Kuldeep
Bhuvi
Bumrah
You don't have anyone as good as Shami let alone Bumrah, if you did you wouldn't be a bottom ranked team in 2 out if 3 formats.

Hasan is better bowler than either Kumar or Shami, and young Afridi is their equal. Bumrah is the only quality pacer you have. I am amazed that have ignored Saini and Prasidh for the last few years, meaning they couldn't pick them for this WC
Lol. Shami. Seriously?
Hasan is better and there's no denying that.
Shami. SHAMI.
Hasan is arguably even better than BK.
I did not follow Pakistan matches of late, genuinely curious to know what has Hasan done post CT to be considered better than Shami? Shami won us a series in NZ despite being mostly out of the team due to injuries since 2016.
Not considering test format since Shami is clearly miles ahead and this is WC we are talking about.

Dhoni is our no. 1 WK because he (and his chum Kohli) hasn't allowed anyone else to get fair number of chances in the national team. We had full 4 years to prepare for his successor and see we are still stuck with him 4 years later. No matter what people say Dhoni is still our number one keeper batsman in ODIs.
