You gotta be extremely biased to compare this one against the Pak-SA tests.
I am very serious...those pitches were proper turner like the one here. I have seen most of the Pak-SA test series.

I take it back. It's not the wicket but some of the fans here that are disgraceful.

2 wickets for Moeen. We'll still come to your Biryani party, wherever it is held.![]()
Ashwin and Kuldeep will definitely get something out of this pitch. Look at what Root is doing lol.
This is an interesting pitch. It seems to be very difficult to start on, but once batters get used to the turn and settle down, they can score big runs. It’s not a classic rank turning sandbox where batsmen can never get in, imo.
The on-field umpiring has been great through the two games.
3rd umpire is having a shocker![]()

Gone.![]()
Yes I have also seen Pak spinners were getting similar turn on Day 1 pitch against SA and Nauman Ali was turning like Murali. Every team takes home advantage...BD & SL dont play seamers and goes for all spin attack at home. Not sure why only India takes home advantage it becomes an issue...lol.
I think England's only chance was to win the toss and bat first.
Ashwin will become unplayable by day 4/5 when England has to bat last.

These umpires are ridiculously bad.![]()
Stop lying non of the pakistani pitches prepared were turners or dustbowls, pakistani pitches were very sporting.
Doctored pitch tampering are hallmark of indians Australians and new Zealanders.
I am loving this rank turner.
Its sooo much fun.
Every ball is an event.
Haha.

One can deliberately prepare dust bowls.
Not hard.
Of course Chennai pitch had its limitations due to short period of time.
Question is why are you defensive about rank turners?
Be proud of our pitches lol.
Pakistan doesn't prepare rank turners in tests and I doubt the last test was one.
Heat need not rough up the pitch if its prepared well. 2016 Chennai Pitch is the perfect example of that where a rookie scored triple century on the fourth day.Do you have any idea about pitches? No one can deliberately prepare dustbowls...there is no such concept. All sub continent teams remove grass so that it can assist spinners from 3rd day onwards. Bcoz Chennai is in South (like SL) where heat is more, the pitch gets roughed up quicker than in Pakistan or North India. Its not as if Pakistan leaves grass so that pitch can hold throughout and deny home advantage. You definition of doctoring dosen't makes sense.

And I am from South India and now live in Sydney and Sydney gets as hot as South India in Summer but that doesn’t make Sydney pitches crumble like this.
Dust bowls like this actually negate our home advantage by making mediocre spinners look good. The only advantage they give is to the team who wins the toss. Had England won the toss, there would have been a repeat of Pune 2017.
Then how did Chennai 2016 pitch became so flat? And Kerala ( which is equally hot as Chennai when it doesn't rain)regularly produces bouncy pitches in Ranji to help their pacers as their batting is not that good. Then probably touch the soil on ground in Sydney, put it in bag and take it to South India next time you travel and then compare the type of soil.
Why in sub continent then we are not able to produce hard and bouncy tracks. Even England cannot produce Australian types of wickets.
Every country/region has unique conditions and pitches reflect that.
You must be a high level ******. Rank turners where fast bowlers like Hasan Ali and Anrich Nortje had the best figures for both team across the series. Get a brain transplant.I am very serious...those pitches were proper turner like the one here. I have seen most of the Pak-SA test series.
Brilliant knock from Rohit. His first high quality test runs. Majestic batting.
India in good position now. Hopefully, we go past 400.
400 is far from possible .330 maximum india can score.
Also a mention for Ben foakes keeping, OUTSTANDING.
But don't you think weather plays a big part too? If a curator of say Dharmasala or Mohali cricket ground remove all grass from the pitch, it becomes a very good batting track for 1st two days and with heavy roller remains decent on third day too. But eventually cracks appear on last two days and ball turns.
A Chennai curator perhaps does the same i.e remove all grass. But due to extreme heat...grassless soil cracks from day 1 and ball takes turn. Tomorrow morning it will be good for batting again due to heavy roller but as soon as sun comes out it will get roughed up.
So I think dustbows are more to do with weather than someone deliberately doing it.
India blessed with the pies Mo has been feeding them in this game, a travesty Bess was dropped, I think India just about have enough to win the game on this wicket
England are still in it. The pitch might get better for batting tomorrow and they have a lot of batsmen. Need to take Pant out quickly.
This one is out of England's reach. The pitch is going to behave like a Day 4/5 pitch from tomorrow onwards and 300 on board is difficult to bring down. The only play forward for England is to bat time and hence performance of Sibley, Burns and Foakes are critical to England's chances to secure a draw.
He just cannot understand anything about IPL, but keeps popping it up always! Just leave it...

Yep, that stumping was out.
Two wrong umpiring decisions went in India’s favour today, but overall positive batting from India and a fine day of test cricket.
England must get Pant out quickly tomorrow. And don’t put a spinner on from that short boundary end!
Gilchrist Pant is still here![]()
