The calm turns to chaos for England, who almost lose a second wicket in as many balls!

Pope misses a beautiful turning delivery from Kuldeep and steps forward out of his crease a fraction, with Bharat missing the stumping chance.

The England pair consider a risky run off the final ball and Pope is sent sprawling back to avoid a potential run-out. India have a spring in their step.

More pace and bounce in this pitch compared to last game. England should keep going for runs. Crawley is key here

Very bold and aggressive response from England. This is how you play when you don't try to secure your place in the team for the next decade :hafeez

WICKET! Crawley c Shreyas b Axar 76 - England 114-2

What. A. Catch.

Crawley comes charging forward to smash Axar through mid-wicket for a boundary, then goes on the offensive again with the next ball and hacks it high into the air.

Shreyas goes running back and takes a brilliant low diving catch to give India a huge wicket.

An impressive innings for Crawley, although he will be frustrated not to turn that fast start into a bigger score.

Jasprit Bumrah ahead of 2nd Test match against England Said:

"I'm always behind everybody's back. In India, if the ball becomes soft, you have to take care of the ball. With the saliva rule not being there, it's difficult to maintain the ball sometimes. I'm always behind the spinners... 'bowl your overs quickly and shine the ball'. Because when it reverses, it will help us, and it will help them,"

I'm always behind (their backs), and of course, if the ball is well-maintained, it is always an added bonus,"

Root biggest flop of this series, failure after failure after failure when the team needed him..should just retire if can't in Asia.

Was just a matter of time for Pope.

I am baffled why Bumrah didn't use many yorkers in Hyderabad against Pope when the latter has a clear weakness in bringing his bat down in time. He got him the same way at the oval in 2021.

Pathetic Mukesh still getting hit despite having cushion of 4 wickets now.

After a long time I am watching a good test series being played at home. A proper contest between bat and ball. It just goes to show if you lay out good surfaces, test cricket can still be such a good sport even in sub continent. I almost stopped watching any test matches played in India due to poor pitches where games get over in 2 days. This series being an exception and long it may continue. Whoever agreed for these kind of pitches, hats off.

Tea time

Cook: Bumrah spell has changed the game

Sir Alastair Cook, speaking to TNT Sports:

"I got this pitch wrong. I'm surprised by the movement we're seeing and the extra bounce.

"I actually thought this pitch would keep low and it would be easy to sweep, but they haven't been able to that much.

"It was the spell of fast bowling from Bumrah which has really changed the game. It has been compelling cricket.

"We know that under Bazball, you never quite know what is going to happen next - and that was another example of that."

Mukesh is useless in subcontinent conditions . should have played another batsman instead of him

Mookesh Koomar from Gopalganj is the kind of trundler our coach sahab loves. If he gets dropped he will be repaced with legendary Prasidh Krishna.

WICKET! Bairstow c Gill b Bumrah 25 - England 159-5

That man Bumrah strikes again and England lose another!

Amazing performance fromYashaswi and Bumrah have ensured India are on top in this game

WICKET! Foakes b Kuldeep 6 - England 172-6

Kuldeep has 2 now. BOWLED'IM!!

"That's a clean up job," Ravi Shastri says on commentary, with Foakes beaten on the outside edge by Kuldeep to see his off stump knocked back.

England in disarray.

England threw it away.

It was a great opportunity for them to go up 2-0.

They can still win it but India are ahead currently.

England's collapse now standing at 5-58 from Crawley's wicket onwards... India in complete control of this Test match all of a sudden.

WICKET! Rehan c Gill b Kuldeep 6 - India 182-7

England is in deep deep trouble now. Inning defeat loading?

SOrry... 32 runs.. Hartley smashes Kuldeep for 6.

The man who can get 8th wicket is Bumrah, but Rohit wont bring him on for a very long time.

We are committing the same mistake of granting free runs to Hartley

Bumrah is levels above any pak bowler I have seen for a long time.

The last time I saw a pak bowler of this level was Asif

Ashwin has been really poor post 1st innings of first test.

Neither with ball nor with bat

Gotta find a second line of spinners now that Ashwin is on his last legs, Jadeja remains injured most of the time

This Mukesh trundler is so ineffective that it beggars belief how did this guy walk into India setup?

Same for Bharat.

India badly misses Shami. This Mukesh is a pathetic bowler. Even washed up Umesh would have been a better choice. Even in the last match he could have been a handful against tail.

Amazing. In the previous test Jadeja was give out, and in similar conditions now, Anderson given not out..
