The 2019 World Cup will be held in England and Wales from May 30 to July 14 and India are scheduled to take on Pakistan on June 16 at Old Trafford.

"He (Imran Khan) should respond. He is the Prime Minister and if he believes that Pakistan has no role to play in the attack then why is he not coming out openly. He should come out openly. People should know the truth. He is not coming out openly which means that there are Stains in their folds," Suresh Bafna added.

After the terror attack, the CCI had covered the portrait of Imran Khan at their Brabourne stadium headquarters in Mumbai. The secretary said that the step was their way of condemning the barbaric attack on the country's security personnel.

"We called a meeting on the very next day of the attack and to condemn the attack, we decided to cover the photo. We''ll be deciding soon how to remove the photo," he said.

In one of the deadliest attacks in decades on security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, at least 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives when a suicide bomber rammed his car carrying explosive close to 300 kg rammed into a bus carrying the Indian paramilitary force.

Pakistan-based Islamist militant group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) had immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.

Good, free points for us. :yk

To respond to Mr Bafna, rather than being a sentimental fool, he should know that the information minister has already relayed Pakistan's position.

Prime minister wont attend to the internal matters of India.

Dont be so ignorant.

Cricketjoshilla haan jee. i remember 3 weeks ago you were going about how India doesnt do this, now what?

Sad to see how world is progressing and Pakistan, India are fighting for the same issue for over 7 decades and its effecting cricket as well.

WC is 3 months away. That's a lot of time. All the fringe players are grabbing their chances to keep themselves in the news cycle. Let them have their fun. Ind will play Pak in the WC. Ind doesn't want to antagonize anybody considering IPL and Pak needs ICC money coming in for survival. Should be a good match

The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) on Sunday removed the photographs of Pakistani cricketers from various points inside Mohali stadium as a “humble step” to show solidarity with the families of soldiers killed in the Pulwama terror attack.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the cricket body’s office bearers in Chandigargh, PCA treasurer Ajay Tyagi told PTI. “As a humble step, the PCA has decided to show its solidarity with the families of martyrs of the Pulwama attack. There is so much anger in the nation against the heinous attack and PCA is no different in this,” Tyagi said.

AMU asks Kashmiri students not to move out of campus in the wake of Pulwama attack protests
He said there are nearly 15 photos of Pakistani cricketers, which were kept inside the stadium at various points including in the galleries, long room, reception and ‘hall of fame’ area.

The Shahid Afridi-led Pakistani side had faced a 29-run defeat at India’s hands in the 2011 World Cup cricket semi-finals which was played here in March. Tyagi said among the Pakistani cricketers whose photographs have been removed are present Prime Minister Imran Khan, Afridi, Javed Miandad and Wasim Akram.

Forty CRPF personnel were killed and five injured on Thursday in one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir when a Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad suicide bomber rammed a vehicle carrying over 100 kg of explosives into a bus in Pulwama district.

This response needs to be tarred and feathered. When diplomacy breaks down, you still want dialogue. Otherwise you have war and death.

More emotional brain farts from some nobody in India. Guy needs to drink a cold pepsi and lie down for a bit.

India should play the game and beat Pakistan. Not playing helps the Pakistan team.

Why are they targeting the cricketers? As far as I remember, they were busy in PSL, not driving trucks full of explosives. Go for the culprits!

After the likes of Cricket Club in India, PCA Stadium Mohali, and the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur decided to take down the pictures of former Pakistan cricket team captain and current Prime Minister Imran Khan, another stadium has joined the bandwagon. The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala has also removed the pictures of Pakistani cricketers including Imran Khan from its premises.

The whole nation was left in deep shock and grief after 40 CRPF soldiers were martyred in a ghastly terror attack in Pulwama last week. The Indian sports fraternity has since come together in solidarity with the martyrs and the affected families. Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad had claimed the responsibility for the attack.

The deadly attack took place on Thursday - February 14th, when a suicide bomber, identified as Adil Ahmad Dar rammed an explosive-laden SUV into a bus carrying CRPF soldiers. In the wake of the ghastly attack, several cricket associations across the country have taken down the portraits and pictures of Pakistani cricketers to mark protest.

Earlier, pictures of Khan along with other Pakistani cricketers were removed from Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday. CCI also blanked out Khan's portrait at its campus in Maharastra. The CCI secretary had also urged the BCCI to boycott playing Pakistan at the upcoming World Cup.

Meanwhile, the whole country has contributed generously to the families of the martyred soldiers. BCCI acting President CK Khanna on Sunday wrote to the CoA asking the top cricketing body to contribute at least Rs 5 crore for the families of the martyrs. Former cricketers Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir promised to take care of the education of the children of the martyred soldiers.

Indian cricketers Mohammed Shami and Shikhar Dhawan also made donations for the families of the martyrs.

Sorry but this attitude from general Pakistani public has led Indian population away from Pakistani cricket and Pakistan in general.

Noone is targeting cricketers, all they are doing is expressing the solidarity for people who have lost their lives in a manner which they feel is right.

By accusing a whole population of supporting a terrorist attack.

Blah blah blah standing in solidarity by exiling you. We not doing any untoward.

CIA should hire Indian inspectors. Best in the world at coming to quick conclusions.

You are targeting Pakistan cricket. There is even open talk of sabotaging PSL. They have removed Pak cricketer pictures from a stadium (laughable).

Yet Modi is still not sble to produce an ounce of evidence that Pakistan was behind the attack.

I am usually against mixing sports and politics too but this time i wish both India and Pakistan come to terms and forfeit their world cup matches. The overall feeling and atmosphere right now is just too bad. Let it not be India refusing to play Pakistan or Pakistan refusing to play India. Let us both do it together. Let us stop playing cricket until things are good.

If it is a group game. Forfeit it.

If it is a semi final. Forfeit it and let the other two semi finalists play a virtual final.

If it is a final. Forfeit it and share the trophy.

I am gutted to say it but its much better to not play cricket than play a match surrounded by hate. Fights on news channels, fights on the online forums etc we don't want to see such scenes. We wnat to play cricket under healthy circumstances when we can respect each other and celebrate the game of cricket together.

If we cannot play the game in the right spirit we rather not play it at all.

My brother, time is the best healer of wounds. Im hoping it will all calm down with time and this will be a great match.

I hope so. I want to see India play Pakistan in an atmosphere where we want to celebrate our cricketing rivalry in front of the world and produce a quality match that inspires young kids to play cricket for their country.

Under the present scenario, i will personally skip the match. I do not wish to see Rashid Latif or Sehwag making stupid statements before the match. I don't wish to see Kirti Azad and Mohammad Yousuf engaging in cheap verbal arguements on news channels before the match. I don;t want to see facebook pages posting derogatory posts about the other nation and see even more disgusting comments under such posts. If this is how low we would go to play a cricket match i do not want any of it. I will boycot cricket and watch something else. There are better things to do in life than engage in meaningless trolling.

We played the 2016 CT final. It was an occasion which both India and Pakistan should have celebrated. That out of 10 of the best teams we 2 went all the way to play the final. Yes one had to lose but we were all winners just for being part of that historic match. But my fellow Indian fans and cricket experts had to ruin that moment for all of us by resorting to low level derogatory comments. against Pakistan.

I hope to be part of better days of cricket as a fan and as a sports enthusiast.

That sounds great in theory and on PP but realistically - both the PCB and BCCi will never come together and talk to make this decision in this political climate.

It will be one party or the other that will forfeit although realistically I think we will end up playing in the WC after all.

The PCB has a poor track record of making bold decisions - and this time will be no different. The BCCI would not want its WC campaign to go sideways in any way and I would anticipate the public emotions and reactions would have cooled down a bit by June.

"Thirteen photos of Pakistani cricketers, including Imran Khan and Wasim Akram, that were hung inside the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) stadium in Dharamsala were removed on Tuesday, an official said. "We have decided to remove all the photos of Pakistani players from our stadium to express solidarity with the families of CRPF martyred troopers in Pulwama attack," HPCA stadium Manager Col H.S. Manhas told reporters.

The removed photos included those of Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar and Javed Miandad.

The HPCA showpiece stadium, some 250 km from the state capital, figured first on the international cricket map in 2005 when it hosted a warm-up tie between the touring Pakistan team and the Indian Board President's XI.

Officials said most of the removed photos were of the warm-up tie between Pakistan and India.

The Pulwama attack in Jammu and Kashmir on February 14 killed 40 CRPF troopers."

We should definitely play against Pakistan but with a B team. Rest Kohli, Rohit, Dhawan, Bumrah, Kuldeep and Chahal. Our B team is good enough to beat a team whose best batsman is only good for West Indies and Sri Lanka.

I honestly thought it was just our government that was a laughing stock and small mided. This move by those in charge in India is so idiotic an unbelievable .

If ever there was a chance of moving forward with relations between the two countries, we've gone backwards in relations with Modi in charge of India.

You think we, Pakistanis, aren;t angry about how the India army is killing Kashmiris? You think we've not got hearts and empathy towards those that have lost lives at the hands of terrorism?

Absolutely ridiculous and small-minded by India and co. Blaming and pointing fingers at Pakistan cricket is a shameful act.

This is what it's come down to, childish posts like this. Well done.

Perhaps you should have a look at the comments made by your fellow Pakistanis before pointing fingers at me.

I'm pointing fingers at you because you've mixed in with them. You're no better than they are.

The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has followed in the footsteps of many other state associations and cricketing bodies in the country and decided to take down the photographs of Pakistan players placed in the gallery of their M Chinnaswamy stadium. The move comes in the wake of the Pulwama terror attack on February 14 which saw 40 CRPF jawans being martyred in Pulwama district of Jammu & Kashmir.

The iconic Cricket Club of India (CCI) is believed to be the first one to remove Imran's portrait while several others including the HPCA, PCA and Sawai Mansingh stadium had decided to follow suit.

“We at Karnataka state cricket Association to show our solidarity and support to our armed forces; and to express our strong protest against the recent terrorist bombing at Pulwama, we have brought down all photographs of Pakistan Cricketers including Imran Khan,” said KSCA.

Sudhakar Rao, the secretary of KSCA, revealed that photographs on the wall of their stadium were that of Imran Khan, Wasim Akram and Inzamam-ul-Haq, which were removed two days ago.

“Country comes first,” said Rao. “We removed the photos two days ago. This is in support of the country in such a sensitive situation. Not just KSCA, many other associations across the country are doing the same,” said Rao. While a couple of photographs were taken during an ICC meeting here, some were shot whenever Pakistan played India at the Chinnaswamy.”

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), reacting to the growing trend of stadiums taking down the pictures of legendary Pakistani cricketers, called the episodes as 'regrettable' on Monday. While India and Pakistan weren't playing bilateral cricket anyways, protests are being made for the Indian team to skip the World Cup fixture against Pakistan – scheduled for June 16 – in protest for the Pulwama suicide bomb blast.

Several Indian cricketers have called for the country to give Pakistan a stern response for the terror strike in the valley, with Harbhajan Singh also of the opinion that the Indian team should consider snubbing Pakistan in the World Cup fixture, even if it means giving away points.

Are all the indian teenagers taking down their Atif Aslam and Fawad Khan posters as well?

Indians have truly regressed to a childish level.

"BCCI removes Pakistan cricket related memorabilia from its headquarters
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has removed all memorabilia related to Pakistan cricket from its headquarters in Mumbai. Cricket grounds across the country have taken down posters of Pakistani cricketers after the Pulwama terror attack.

BCCI has pulled down memorabilia and photos related to Pakistan cricket from its four-storeyed headquarters in Mumbai respecting the anti-Pakistan sentiment in the country following the Pulwama terror attack which left 40 CRPF jawans dead.

BCCI headquarters is replete with photo galleries celebrating the iconic moments and achievers of Indian cricket.

On the first floor of the building, there are a number of memorabilia bats involving cricket teams around the world. In the bat memorabilia section, there were also some autographed bats of Pakistani teams that competed against India which have now been removed."

The Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) has removed pictures of former Pakistani cricketers from its stadium in view of public sentiments after the Pulwama terror attack, a senior official said Wednesday.

The photos of former Pakistan cricket team captain and now Prime Minister Imran Khan, batting legend Javed Miandad and some other players were removed from the VCA Stadium at Jamtha three days ago, VCA president Anand Jaiswal told PTI.

These photos were kept at the press box and other non-public areas in the stadium, he said.

Jaiswal said the step has been taken keeping in view the sentiments of people at large after the terror attack.

Cricket associations of Punjab and Rajasthan have also removed the pictures of former Pakistani cricket players from their respective stadiums in Mohali and Jaipur to protest the 14 February attack in which 40 CRPF jawans were killed.

The Cricket Club of India in Mumbai last week covered a portrait of Imran Khan to protest against the Pulwama terror attack.

Sorry but this attitude from general Pakistani public has led Indian population away from Pakistani cricket and Pakistan in general.

Noone is targeting cricketers, all they are doing is expressing the solidarity for people who have lost their lives in a manner which they feel is right.

So BCCI has mailed ICC requesting that Pakistan be removed from the World Cup. Still think they are not trying to sabotage Pakistan cricket? More than anything else, it seems Indians want to destroy Pakistan cricket.

MUMBAI: Following a similar move by the Cricket Club of India (CCI), and various state associations of the country, the BCCI on Wednesday removed pictures and memorabilia of Pakistan cricketers from the its headquarters, as a mark of protest against the dastardly terrorist attack at Pulwama last Thursday, in which 44 CRPF men lost their lives.

Apparently, there were around famous photographs involving Pakistan at the BCCI office here.

"There was one photograph of former India wicketkeeper Kiran More indulging in 'frog jump' to imitate Pakistan cricket great Javed Miandad during their high-voltage 1992 World Cup clash. There were a few photographs from India's 2004 tour of Pakistan, including former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf with Indian cricket's greats Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly, and a picture of Pakistan all-rounder Imran Khan, who's currently the Prime Minister of the country, with the Indian team," a source told TOI.

Last Friday, CCI had on Friday blanked out pictures of legendary Pakistan all-rounder Imran Khan, who is currently the country's Prime Minister. After that move, the cricket associations of Punjab, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Vidarbha too removed photographs of Pakistan cricketers from their stadiums.

Before chief selector MSK Prasad's press conference last Friday, the BCCI had expressed its "deepest condolences" to the CRPF Jawans who lost their lives in the Pulwama terror attack.

"The BCCI would like to officially condole the tragic incident in which we are told 44 lives were lost for the sake of protection of the country," BCCI Acting Honorary secretary Amitabh Choudhary had said.

The way India has over reacted to that one attack in Kashmir and has made statements against the nation of Pakistan, its players and its Cricket team, i don't see India Pakistan relations getting anywhere close the levels we saw in the 70's and 80's and 2000's for a while.
